I was using the spud inc cables for a while, but got tired of the weights swinging. Received this on time, put it together in a few hours with "help" from my 4 year old. Has been a game-changer for my home gym. Cables and pulleys are smooth. Height adjustments work very well. Very satisfied with this purchase.
I had been looking at purchasing a functional trainer for several months and had narrowed the choices between the Titan Fitness FT, X Mark or Rep Fitness. All three were very close in price, but the combination of included accessories and black powder coated finish of the Titan won me over. The functional trainer arrived via ups freight in a wooden crate with all pieces individually wrapped. The black powder coating of the equipment looks amazing in person. Couldn't ask for a better piece of equipment for my home gym. It took just under 3 hours to put fully together (including unpacking from the crate and placing the stickers on the weights). Assembly was pretty straight forward just don't pay attention to the number associated to the screws as they don't match. Also double check all of the factory installed bolts as I found a few that were not completely tightened down. Hopefully Titan will be able to come up with some creative attachments that could be added to the machine in the future which would be awesome. If not, I’ll probably have to add a squat rack to my home gym.
My Husband and I had been toying with buying a cable machine for a few months and quitting our gym membership. We came across this machine and pulled the trigger. I am SO glad we did! It came shipped in a large wooden box, fairly easy assembly and it is well made. The weights and cable glides effortlessly. Love this product!
As I was somewhat intimidated at the thought of assembling the functional trainer, I was quite delighted when it arrived with all the pulleys and cables assembled (except the lone pulley on each weight stack which were very easy to affix). The assembly required two hours with the help of my 16 y/o nephew and a power driver. Full disclosure: I studied the manual for thirty minutes the night before, and unpacking the parts required thirty minutes. The shipping crate arrived looking as if it had been through a car-crusher, but the contents were so well packaged that the only damage were a few minor scuff marks and a torn rubber grip on the upper pulley adjustment handle. I will contact customer support to see what they suggest to remedy the tears. Overall, I am quite happy with the Titan Fitness Functional Trainer, item number 400883.
its a good machine, im a old power lifter with many injuries i just wanted something to stay fit when i quit power lifting , and it does the job, its easy to work out on and easy to change weight, and i feel it is made with quality, for a regular person its all you will ever need.
This is a great addition to my garage gym as i only have a single stall and this fits amazingly into the corner. I am able to do so many different moves with this machine due to the different positions for the pulleys. It is super sturdy and has plenty of weight for all the workouts I do. The fact that it also comes with additional equipment is awesome! The only things I really didn't like is the manual had to be downloaded from online. I would have preferred a paper copy. And some of the pieces didn't line up correctly, but I was able to work through it and it didn't affect its function. Definitely a must buy for any serious lifter with a garage gym.
Arrived in a crate as secure as Fort Knox. I had to meet the delivery truck at a remote location with my pickup as the driver would not deliver to my residential address. Took a whole day to unpack and assemble alone. Parts are solid and the machine is very sturdy for a piece of home gym equipment. I have used in now for about a week for back and arm work and it rivals the professional machines used in many commercial gyms. Not as heavy as commercial equipment but every bit as functional. Well worth the 2 grand I spent on it to complete my garage gym (have no m ore room to fit anything more LOL). Highly recommended!
Overall the equipment seems well built but Titan needs to work on their packaging. The entire bottom of the crate had fallen out, leading to parts and the weight plates spilled all over the delivery truck. Luckily everything arrived, but some items were scratched and dinged up. One pins threads were marred beyond use so hopefully that will be replaced. Overall Im still happy with the purchase but there is room for improvement in several areas.
Great addition to an already amazing home gym. The machine took about three hours to put together including unpacking it from the crate that it came in. It is possible to assemble yourself but you have to be creative. Save time and get help. I'm giving the machine four out of five stars because it was missing two weight plates equaling 20lbs. So I have 200lbs on one side and 180lbs on the other. I'm going to ask customer service for the additional weights and compensation for my time as I have to take one set of weight rails apart to eventually add the weights. Nonetheless, I'd recommend this machine to anyone that wants to step up their home gym.
Absolutely horrible experience!!! Titan delivered damaged product and they took 2 months to even ship it back to return, Walmart.com was no help, and now that the product is returned they are not sending me money back. I'm seeking legal help to sue Walmart and Titan for my refund!!!
