When filleting larger catches, it's always a challenge to get a clean cut with a standard knife. I love this one because not only is it longer, but the blade is sharp enough and stiff enough to get a clean cut all the way to the tip. It has enough flexibility to move wherever, and when needed. Also, I noticed that it stayed sharp throughout the entire cleaning process. When cleaning lots of fish, it's great to not have to stop to resharpen. (I usually sharpen my knives before cleaning a mess of fish) but it's a real convenience to not have to stop several times while doing so. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I have used many filet knives and must say this one is a winner! It's ergonomic handle, well-weighted and keeps its edge! I've used this on fish and meats and even without sharpening touch-ups, it cuts through like buttah! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This new titanium plier offers stellar performance, non-slip grip, and sharp cutting. The grip is a bit large for my small hand (girl), but I had no problem using it because of it's incredibly smooth action. It's solid and trustworthy! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
First and foremost I like these pliers fit nicely in my hand. Even when they are wet, they do not slip or move around. With its built in spring, they easily open in my hand and allow me to easily cut wire, braid or mono with minimal effort. This is my go to tool for building rigs and I take it with me on the kayak and boat. The included Lanyard and Case work well together, however I use a longer lanyard in the kayak/SUP. I do make a point to rinse them down with fresh water anytime they do get used in saltwater applications and haven't had any issues with rust or corrosion. I simply dry them off and spray them with a little WD-40. I am hard on my gear, but I do take care of it and I can see these pliers lasting for several seasons. I took the new pliers on a trip to Baja for a real-life review. The pliers fit well in my hand and the always-open feature is great for easy one-handed use. The sharp cutters performed equally well on both heavy mono and braid. The scale pattern and retainer edge one the over-molded grips provide non-slip use.The jaws and heavy construction made hook removal easy. The pliers were used in heavy saltwater and a quick rinse after each use and they still look like new. The full cover holster and lanyard are nice added features. My only complaint is that the belt clip on the holster does not hold very well. If you sit down while wearing the holster, it can easily slip off. This could easily be remedied by adding a small retaining tit to the plastic holster clip. Great pliers that should last a long time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Non slip grip, saltwater protection stainless steel are a couple of special features. Grip fits perfect in any hand. The non slip grip is very comfortable and easily washable. SS blade is perfect for any saltwater fisherman. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
These pliers have both excellent grips and a very nice cutter that works on braid and monofilament fishing line. Pliers have long gripping surface which allows you to grip both heavy line and wire. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I have had this fillet knife for a few weeks now and it is one of the best fillet knifes I have ever had. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Very sharp right out of the package. No slip handle is nice. Handled thick skin fish with no problems [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
No Sheath, buy it elsewhere and get one that comes with one.
