I bought this for my mobile home %26 it fit nicely for my needs. Assembly was fairly easy, the chairs took the longest time. Table can scratch easily, be careful when placing items on table.
I enjoy my table and chairs. The wood is very nice. Mahogany colothe table sit sits for people comfortably. I would tell my friend i enjoy my table and chairs. The wood is very nice. Mahogany colored the table sit sits for people comfortably. I recommend this table.
Please be aware the table is very small and the chairs have to be out a little for it to work. Very nice, I love it but took awhile to put all the chairs together. Like Lego. Strong and beautifully made. Not meant for people over 150 lbs per chair. And they are small. I love it perfect for my husband and myself. Cannot put 4 full placemats on this without overlapping. Just to give you an idea..
I had a really nice dining set, but it was too big for my little apartment, and my dog and I just didn't need that many seats, so I got rid of it and went looking for something smaller. I didn't have much money to spend, so I couldn't afford to hit up a local furniture store and decided to check Walmart.com instead. I'll be honest -- the large number of negative reviews made me pretty nervous to buy this set, but the color was perfect, the size was right, and the price was in my budget, so I took a chance. And it turned out much nicer than I expected! The kit weighed over 100 pounds, so it took some wrangling for me to get it inside my apartment. The box was a little beat up, but I opened it to find zero damage inside. I laid out and counted all the pieces to make sure nothing was missing, and I got to work. I'm a not-very-strong, 50 year old woman who lives alone, and this set was a beast to put together. All told, it took me 9 hours and 44 minutes to finish, so while the finished product is great, I have to admit I would never have bought it if I'd known. The instructions were complete but complicated, so it was hard to follow them. A rubber mallet is necessary (and not provided) to force small wood dowels into the furniture pieces. The screws that hold the chairs' side pieces are in these recessed little nooks that are almost impossible to access and literally took hours to screw in. Even screwing in the seats at the end was difficult. All that said, the end result is really nice. The chairs and table are solid and sturdy, and the seats aren't undersized like in a lot of similar sets. Since rubber wood is not a hard wood, I bought a plastic table protector sheet that should keep the tablet to from getting scratched and beat up. The size is just right for my dining nook, and it looks so much nicer than those MDF %26 metal sets I keep seeing. If you're on a tight budget and don't mind putting a ton of time into assembling this set, it's a good deal.
I am very happy with the product that I received, but I do wish there was a little easier way to put the screws with the allen wrench heads in. because of the tightness of the area. you are only able to turn the screw 1/4 turn at a time, so it DOES make it a little time consuming. Other than that, I am happy with it and it does look great in my dining room 👍
First chair took hours to assemble :/. Once you figure out how to assemble the first one, the rest is easy. Took me about 6 hours or so to get everything done. I like the look of it, although the chairs are a little wobbly and the table is really small. I give it 3 stars because it serves the purpose. I mainly use it as my desk.
This table is very good for the price and its a very good looking table as well but putting it together was difficult because of bad craftsmanship and the holes for the screws were not even. the screws stripped out easy and the wood in some spots were weak and cracked. overall its a pretty good table but would not pay more than a couple hundred for it.
When a manufacturer expects customers to assemble a product themselves, it's essential that they: - Provide all necessary components with care. - Ensure all pre-drilled holes are accurate. - Design the assembly process to be straightforward. Unfortunately, my experience with this dining table fell short in all three areas: - One chair was missing part P7, making it incomplete. - The holes on that chair were misaligned, preventing proper assembly. - Overall, assembling the chairs was extremely difficult due to poor design. I reached out to customer service requesting replacement parts for the faulty chair. Instead, I was asked to disassemble and return the entire product—an unreasonable solution given how difficult disassembly is. I've decided to use the remaining items temporarily until I purchase a new dining set. I strongly advise potential buyers to avoid this product if they value peace of mind. The manufacturer's quality control is lacking, and Walmart, as the supplier, should be held accountable for distributing defective items.
I received it with the table broken underneath. I was going to suck it up and when my boyfriend and I went to assemble the chairs we realized the dowels were too big and made the wood split and would not stay together. Everything cracked when I tried to put it together. The table it's self is very low quality the sides that come down under the table are the lowest quality material I have ever seen they were cardboard like and just fell apart. I was very disappointed and ended up returning it to the store to get my money back to get something that wouldn't fall apart. It also had someone else's handprints on the bottom which was very disturbing.
You get what you pay for in this product. As we were setting up, we noticed two dented corners, and the bolt holes were blocked. Rather than deal with the hassle of sending back, we set it up anyway. It's not terribly sturdy. At first glance it looks ok. I didn't expect an amazing product at the price, but one in good shape would have been nice.
