It's actually really stable, and a lot more room than I expected! We love it! Magic marker takes everything right off. I love the built in shelves! We homeschool so everyday books fit into the slots. A smaller laptop fits on the shelf, but still enough room for laptop and large work book on the bottom. Plenty of leg room underneath.
