OMG, this pens are magical, I wasn't good at calligraphy but somehow this pens can be controlled very easily, I mean easily! This is my hand, no photoshop or computer is my hand. Durable pens to produce beautiful lettering. I prefer the hard tip, but am learning to use the soft tip with a lighter hand. I've played with the shadowing pen only a little. As a beginner I can recommend this set.
