back in the day before computers design programs I was a full time board mechanical draftsman for 6 years and used electric erasers a lot. Its hard to find an eraser that picks up a line and not leaving a shadow. Also tight places this small thin manual eraser allows you to see what you are after getting removed an not touching the item that is to be untouched. Also use for thinning colors and adding lines to a drawing.
When there are tiny places that need a correction this eraser is perfect. It erases cleanly and easily. Works great on larger areas as well. I liked it so well I ordered some refills.
This eraser works great erasing intricate details without messing up the surrounding area. I've used it with graphite, colored pencil & charcoal with good results every time.
Excellent eraser for small areas in color pencil . Competitive price and fast, well - packaged by Jerry's . Would recommend .
I love these for 'spot' erasing on my sketches.
Works very well. Very useful!
Great, especially for my miniatures.
What a find!
This "Tombow" eraser is awesome. I do not do a lot of drawing, but I do a lot of color pencil drawing. This eraser handle all of my needs for removing unwanted color pencil mark on my drawings where I didn't need them. Made my work a whole lot sharper without having to worry about the paper or card stock from smudging or ripping a hole on it. I found the retractable feature to be helpful as the eraser stays clean. The pocket clip is nice as well. I can carry my eraser and pencil together now and search around for an eraser. The refills go in very easily without any problems. The rubber itself is strong, yet gentle on what ever material you are working on. The silver finish ads a touch of class to the eraser unit too. Overall I would recommend to all and proud to give this as a gift to all my fellow artists.
I received the Tombow MONO Zero Eraser Value Pack, Round, 2.3mm from the Walmart sparks reviewer program to sample and write a review. When first opening the package once it arrived, I saw that the eraser itself was considerably smaller than I had thought. In the package it comes with a pen like encasement which could be pretty handy to slip into your pocket or purse. It also comes with two additional refills inside a handy storage container. All together you have 3 eraser units. It acts just like a mechanical pencil. When your eraser runs low, simply click the top and more will come out. The size of the eraser comes in real handy for erasing very small areas or lines of regular pencil marks on fine artwork. Great for artists who like to sketch, draw, write or just doodle on paper. Since the package did not state exactly what it would erase, I tested different types of pencils and paper; regular loose leaf, card stock, sketch or tracing paper and construction paper. I also used a number two graphite pencil, a coloring pencil and an art sketch pencil #14420. Out of all the pencils it only erased the number two graphite pencil the best. It did not erase the color pencil at all and clearly left a lot of the art pencil. This really does depend on how hard you press while writing. It erased the regular pencil very well on loose leaf and sketch paper but left very light traces on card stock and construction paper. The practicality of this eraser is not great. Considering it functions like any other jumbo eraser (which can be purchased at a much lower cost and would last longer) the cost of this unit exceeds it practical use. I would not recommend this unless you just want a glorified fancy style eraser or if you do a lot of tedious artwork and need a tiny eraser to get into very small areas.
