Reusable! Peanut butter is great bait. The trap itself is very lightweight. I use an extra large twist tie to secure the trap to a camp stake in the ground.

I love it! It is the best trap for rats I have ever tried and the only one I use now! They have a smaller for mice.

THEY ABSOLUTLY WORK GREAT. I HAVE 5 OF THEM OUTSIDE AND NOTHING GETS PASSED THEM. FROM MICE --RATS-- POSSUM.

Thanks to development I'm unfortunately in need of these after 40 yrs in my residence. These are easy to use, I don't have to touch the deceased and can reset easily. The rats never see them in the dark, just seem to run into them. Sad but effective.

I have tried the all. These have been the best. I get mice and rats. Caught two at one time! I bait with peanut butter.

It works better than the victor the reasons: 1. don't have to touch the mouse 2. don't have to touch the dirty part of trap 3. less likely to catch your finger. 4. Teeth hold onto mouse better, so less likely to get away. I've had 2 caught by leg or other parts of mouse but trap still held. The one even dragged the trap, the mouse went under bathroom door. the trap caught by door, even then the mouse didn't get loose. I have caught just tails with wire/wood trap or they tripped it and got away unharmed. i have only found 1 Tom Cat trap tripped without a mouse. So even though they are more expensive because of reasons above I will always buy the black tomcat trap when available.

I have purchased this model of TomCat Rat Trap in past and they are one of the better traps sold. Good style for putting in the bait into compartment that screws in easily from bottom and very easy and safe for setting the spring loaded jaws unlike the difficult wooden traps that often snap prematurely. They do catch rats and larger mice when teeth clamp together. The traps are quite light weight material and I have had one of these traps dragged off by a rat in past and could not locate it so I guess it snapped but did not come down on head or back and probably only on side of body or a paw. I ordered from Walmart marketplace vendor "Supply The House" on 06-02-23 yet package delivered came from " "Do It Best Corp." Either way it arrived with my 2 traps I ordered and within 4 days and in good shape. I would recommend this trap.
