Tom’s of Maine Natural Beauty Bar Soap For Women and Men, Lavender & Shea, 5 oz Bar

This soap reminds me of a high-quality cottage industry-made olive oil based soap I used to buy. It has that same gentle feeling of real soap, as opposed to most store-bought soaps, which are detergent based. I have a feeling it's going to last a long time, because it is so high-quality. But there is absolutely no lavender scent. I am disappointed in this. I rated it at five stars because of the quality, not because of the scent, its lather, or anything like that. This is real soap. But it doesn't smell like lavender.

This Tom's of Maine Lavender %26 Shea bar surprised me. The lavender scent is real but not overpowering: it's relaxing without smelling like grandma's potpourri. With raw shea butter in it, my skin doesn't get that tight, squeaky feeling after I rinse. It lathers up nicely and the bar itself is solid, so it lasts longer than most natural soaps I've tried. No harsh ingredients, no weird residue, just clean and soft. If you want a natural bar that smells good and won't dry you out, this one does the job.

I like this soap a lot. The scent is not too strong, not too light. I've been struggling with back acne and this has cleared it up a lot. I only occasionally develop a blemish. My only complaint is it is so expensive for ONE bar of soap and I'm only able to purchase one at a time through Walmart.

I like the fact that it contains non-toxic, natural ingredients. I also like that it is not tinted. And it smells wonderful.

i have not used it yet, so i am just guessing. You should give us a couple of weeks to try the stuff out

Wanted more lavender smell

Great soap. A little on the expensive side, but my sensitive skin seems to only tolerate this soap.
