We were excited to find a replacement for our son's old ride-on jeep, which had a battery that would overheat in the summer. Be aware that the box is big and hard to hide if you're saving it as a gift—everyone will know what it is! My son was thrilled and started taking out the parts as soon as the box was open. Assembly took about 45 minutes, with him 'helping' and us trying to find the pieces he moved, but it wasn't too difficult. We charged it up, and he was off! This tractor is fast and handles the yard with no issues. The turning radius is wide, so you'll want to use the parent remote to help them get unstuck. My son loves cars and machines. He's only 3, but when I saw this I had to get this for him. It took an hour to put together only because I can tell it was previously purchase, so that person made my job harder. Once I finished, I plugged it up for charging. My son doesn't know about it yet. It's a nice surprise for him this weekend since he has been missing his sister for 10 days. He got a chance to ride it over the next few days. He loves it. He talks about it daily and looks forward to riding it. He would ride it daily if he was allowed to. He got to try it with and without the controller. This was such a a fun product. I am amazed that the bucket will actually pick up dirt, because we definitely tried to. It is very easy to push pedal and a very easy to use control for steering my child away from the road. Decently easy instructions for putting it together. My 11 month old and 7 year old are obsessed with this Tonka construction tractor. It was pretty easy to put together it took about 30 minutes. The music and sound effects are great and fun! This is an amazing tool to not only teach your young one coordination but also pass on taking care of belongings. The Tonka Construction Tractor is our 3 year olds first ridable toy so it quickly helped him learn how to use both hands and feet together and made him cognizant of not damaging it and playing safely. He loves the bucket up front as well as the music and sounds but most of all just how powerful and quickly it moves about. I am surprised with the quality of Tonka construction tractor, it exceeds my expectations. It has lot of functions to choose from. I love that kids can play music while riding. It is spacious enough to sit comfortably as well as handle bars for grip. You can also control the speed with buttons. I like it comes with a remote for smaller kids. The body is made of tough, molded plastic that can handle bumps, crashes, and the general abuse a young driver like my son can dish out. It feels like a modern evolution of the classic steel Tonka trucks, built for real play. It has a working, raised dump bed that my son can operate themselves with a lever. The sounds are fantastic—a realistic engine rumble, beeping when it reverses, and a horn. It completely fuels imaginative play. We loved the tonka construction tractor! My sweet 3yr nephew really enjoyed playing in the neighborhood and I love that I could control the direction/speed via remote when needed. He loved the lights and horn. A few FYIs: - It did require some assembly, but it only took 20min and all items were included. - The batter takes a bit to charge, so plan do do that overnight (or a few hrs ahead of time) - The box is VERY large and about 45 lbs, so if you're picking up or having this delivered be sure you're aware - The connections are metal, but the parts are predominately thick plastic I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

My son absolutely loves his Tonka Construction Tractor. He jumped for joy when the delivery person finally showed up with it. He stood over the top of me and "helped" me put it together. It went together easily except for the screws that needed to go in. The holes in the metal piece didn't line up with the ones in the plastic. Other than that, I didnt have any problems with putting it together. I think its awesome that there are two speed settings. The fast speed goes faster than most 12V battery ride ons.  The bluetooth radio is awesome! My son can listen to his tractor song while he rides around. It also plays its own music that my son enjoyed as well. The thing that made me laught was that the steering wheel had bluetooth controls just like a car.  The music can also be controlled by the built in "stereo." What has come in really handy is the remote control. I like being able to have control over my son especially when he is in fast mode and I cant keep up with him. My son doesn't like the "functioning" bucket. It doesn't scoop up dirt like his daddy's tractor and it makes him mad. He has to physically scoop any dirt in the bucket and if it isn't very full, the bucket doesn't actually dump everything out. Overall, he loves his tractor. Great toy for the kiddo. I love the versatile use - remote and self driving. The charge last a good time. The 2 speed comes in handy in cased the child is younger and let it run not as fast. The toy has a horn and music and a USB you can connect and paly music definitely a cool feature. Cons - The sounds can get a little loud it would benefit if it had a volume control. The f/r gear or pedal off gear is easy to be changed. If there was an option to fully turn off the pedal drive would be beneficial. My kid accidently played with the lever when coming off and pressed the pedal and tractor went driving. The tractor has front and rear lights when on are a nice touch.
