I have four other pruning shears of other brands and this Tonma easily outperforms the others with branches as thick as 1 inch. The anvil style seems to make cuts much easier than the bypass style for thicker branches.
Heavy duty well-made Anvil Pruning Shears. These shears slice through large thick branches easily! Comfort grip great design!
Best pruning shears, made in Japan not China.
You have to love Japanese engineering and manufacturing. This comes with a spare spring, which is a nice touch. The release clip is the most user-friendly I've ever seen on secateurs and of course the blade is beautifully sharp when new. Just gotta keep it that way. I would like it better with an extra cm or two of blade length, but not so much that I'd deduct a star. It's a five-star product.
Overall, I'm very happy with my new Japanese pruner. It's become a trusted tool in my floral repertoire. The sharp blades, comfortable handles, and user-friendly design make it a joy to use. It elevates my flower prep work and allows for more creative freedom in arrangements.
This pruner has a fantastic safety lock! No more worrying about curious little fingers getting near the sharp blades. It gives me peace of mind while I'm tending to the garden.
This Japanese pruner has become my secret weapon in the garden. It's sharp, comfortable, and makes pruning a breeze. Now I can spend more time enjoying the beautiful blooms and less time wrestling with tools!
I love the clean design and beautiful craftsmanship of this Japanese pruner. It feels like a quality tool and looks great on my worktable! It's a nice conversation starter with customers who appreciate unique floral tools.
This sturdy tool has quickly become my go-to for tackling those stubborn branches and stems that often give me trouble. Whether deal with dead branches, stubborn stems, or delicate live growth, this tool can handle it all. I highly recommend investing in an anvil pruner.
I used to worry about damaging plants with dull pruners. This Japanese pruner makes clean cuts, which supposedly helps them heal faster. Maybe that's why my clematis finally decided to bloom this year!
