[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the snow blower in late Nov, 2021. Got to use the first time when we got about 5” snow fall. Worked great, couple pumps of primer and first pull it started. Handled this much snow without issue. It pulls itself through the snow. Enjoyed it enough that I did both my neighbors sideways and lower driver-ways :). Have had a few smaller 2 to 3” snowfalls that it took quick work of. Winds blow a certain way and just adjust the chute the way the wind blows and it stops blowing in your face. In all honesty it's fun to use!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a large blower for clearing large amounts of snow in the the driveway, but we were looking for something to keep the sidewalk, patio and around the vehicles clear of snow. At 64 my shoveling days are over as this little blower does an amazing job. It pulls itself along as it clears the snow right down to the cement and has absolutely no problem blowing 4" of heavy wet snow. A couple pumps of the primer, flip on the choke and it starts with one pull. I know it sounds crazy, but I love winter, the snow, and being outside and this little blower is fun to use and really performs.
Its doing the job well. We had 4 times snow after the purchase with the maximum of 5 inches. This is my first snow blower and as a new bee, its very easy to use and light weight. It is starting at a single pull in the very cold weather (less than 0F) . I didn't face any issues so far. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first power clear 10 years ago. It was a 2 stoke. It served me well for all those years. I brought it in for service and asked about trading it for a 4 stroke model. I love my new 4stroke toro even more than the first one. I highly recommend toro powerclear.
This is my second toro blower in the last 15 years. The upgrades on the new machine make it much easier to use and as I have only used it once since my purchase it did start on the second pull and cleared the snow with ease. I recommend this machine highly.
I purchased this for the little snows. I have a larger 2 stage for the big ones. I like having a single stage for cleaning down to the concrete, especially since my driveway is all cracked up. These little guys are perfect for that. I was very impressed how far it throws the snow, a good 30ft! Just had 4 inches of heavy snow. Handled it with no issues. tossed it farther than I expected. So I'm very pleased. It required work on the 6 inches of sludge at the end of the driveway from the city plow. I would recommend a beefier/larger model if you have that issue. Very happy with this purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I'm a new home owner in a northern state and quickly tapped out from the brutal effort of shoveling my driveway. A friend recommended the Toro Power Clear 518 ZR, it also has lots of good reviews and I just couldn't be happier with owning one! Being new house poor, I'm on a tight budget and this snowblower is very affordable. It was easy to assemble and looks to be made of good quality durable parts. It's a simple machine with not much to go wrong and has a good warranty if anything does. It's also easy to operate, always starts in 1-2 pulls and clears heavy snow at a depth it has no business even attempting. What used to take me an hour of heart attack inducing shoveling now only takes a 15 minute walk while this little beast does all the hard work. It's also small and light enough to store inside my one car garage where it waits for the next snowfall. If you're on the fence while shopping for smaller snowblowers... just get this one... it's really great! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have to make two passes to clear snow. Wheels collect snow wont rotate. No crank for chute rotation. Engine is great. My older unit performed better.
Starts easily and runs well. On a level surface it is easy to control the speed, but on a slope it is hard to control. Tends to go faster than I can walk. The speed can be controlled depending on how much you lower the paddles to the concrete with the handles, but it is hard to get it right on a hill. I also found I have to clean snow clogs out of the chute quite frequently. The snow sticks to the plastic chute. Maybe spraying silicone on the chute would help.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] doesn't start even after following the instructions to a tee. Had to bring in to a repair shop and wait weeks because they a so backed up. Season maybe over before I can use it!
