[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice piece of equipment, Took a few cuts to get use to waiting for the chain/motor to come up to speed before cutting branch (etc). Very nice not having to have to add/or mix gas and oil. The bar/chain oiler took a few minutes of running unloaded before being primed through the whole system. At first I didn't think the oiling was going to work. Instructions should be updated to indicate it may take running for 2-3 minutes before the bar and chain is fully oiled. The only other suggestion is concerning the chain tightening / replacing instructions to be clearer on not fully tightening the cover (bar) nuts until the chain tension is properly adjusted.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to use, lightweight enough for me, a 67 yr old, not very strong lady. Easily cuts through the large branches and small trees I've used it on.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both the brushless chainsaw and lawn mower I purchased have met my expectations. At my age l no longer need heavy duty equipment to care for my property, so these light weight, low maintenance tools should well serve my needs.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. The saw just works very well. No more hassling with my gas saw every time that I need to trim trees. The amount of time that I would spend working on my gas saw I can already have the job done with the electric Toro. The electric saw is so quiet I don't even need ear plugs. Everyone within a 1 mile radius could hear my gas saw running. I will never buy another gas powered saw.
Having killed another 2-stroke chainsaw, i decided to try the Toro 60V chainsaw a try. Already having a 60V battery from another purchase made this purchase decision easier. I live on a couple acres and am clearing pine scrub. Its not heavy work, but the few trees and all the medium brush I have done so far, the saw has had no trouble tackling. For the light work I do, over the course of 5 or 6 hours a day, the battery has maintained its charge. The chain seems to lag on its spin up to full speed whereas my 2-strokes seemed much more responsive. This is really not an issue, it just seems to not spin up as fast. All-in-all, I am thoroughly pleased with the saw and even happier not to mess with gas and oil or having to rebuild a carb again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 4.5 acre yard with many trees. It will not cut down a large oak tree, but it was not designed to do that. It will handle smaller trees and large limbs. I gave my old Homelite gas chain saw away when I got this. I love it and the Toro blower that uses the same battery.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Chainsaw works good and it holds a battery charge pretty well. The chain falls off a lot and I'm constantly having to adjust and tighten the screws. Other than that it works good.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would rate it as 5 stars if I had been using it more, I cut up alot of 3-4 in diameter logs and a few branches off of a standing tree. Thats all so far and except for the quiet, its no different than a standard gas saw of the same size. As an added bonus, I use the battery to get an extra 25 to 35 minutes on my Toro electric Lawn Mower!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have replaced almost all of my gas powered outdoor tools with Toro 60V MAX tools to include lawn mower, trimmer, blower and now this chain saw. Recently cut down 18 tall arborvitaes and the tool worked almost flawlessly. Until I got used to it, if the chain got caught on very small branches, it would come off the track. Good news is that it was pretty simple to put the chain back on the track by simply unscrewing two nuts and a cover. Now that I'm more used to it, I can avoid that issue. All in all very pleased.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Toro always makes a well built product but the power on this chainsaw is a bit lacking. Even with the larger battery.
