Toro Flex Force 60V 16" Lithium Ion Battery Electric Chainsaw (Tool Only)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been blown away by the 60v chainsaw it cuts right through the limbs and tree branches in my back yard and I also used it to cut some wood for my fathers barbeque pit and he was also impressed with the 62v chainsaw, I've decided to sell my gas chainsaws and don't have to worry about priming and pull any longer, just push a button and go.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice piece of equipment, Took a few cuts to get use to waiting for the chain/motor to come up to speed before cutting branch (etc). Very nice not having to have to add/or mix gas and oil. The bar/chain oiler took a few minutes of running unloaded before being primed through the whole system. At first I didn't think the oiling was going to work. Instructions should be updated to indicate it may take running for 2-3 minutes before the bar and chain is fully oiled. The only other suggestion is concerning the chain tightening / replacing instructions to be clearer on not fully tightening the cover (bar) nuts until the chain tension is properly adjusted.

I decided I'd try them instead of carrying gas and oil and mix and this and that for gas powered tools. I don't regret it. The chainsaw does some great work. Cutting fire wood, smoking wood and more it's affordable and the batteries all work with the rest of my tools now. The batteries last through several jobs on my half acre. Very happy so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Safety first…at least when it comes to chainsaws. A lot of electric saws at this price point are missing either a chain brake, or an interlock to press two fingers in order to start cutting, or a basic chain catch of some sort, or crucially, a real tool and two actual bolts to very securely adjust the tension. Tension really does need to be checked every time you use a saw, it's an huge safety issue despite folks on other saw reviews saying the chain sometimes flips off like that's somehow okay. I am not an expert, but my 77 year old father is, and this just needs to be right. This saw ticked all the boxes (okay, some have argued the chain brake isn't mechanical, true, but it still at least stops the blade if the saw kicks back unusually hard), and it was the lowest cost saw I could find that has all these things. Bonus, then, the same battery works with my weed trimmer, which has been working great (and for which I can actually and easily order parts when I need parts, unlike another brand I have had in the past). So, does it work? So far, so good. The electronically-controlled chain speed, which I didn't know what to think of ahead of purchase) works surprisingly well…saw didn't overheat or get bogged down, just cut its best through some large cedar logs I had until the job was done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very satisfied with this chain saw. I bought a Toro 60 V hedge trimmer a couple of years ago, so didn't have to purchase another battery. The saw is perfect for yard work and cutting firewood. I've never run the battery all the way down with either tool, and the battery recharges very rapidly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Chainsaw works good and it holds a battery charge pretty well. The chain falls off a lot and I'm constantly having to adjust and tighten the screws. Other than that it works good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Toro chainsaw, is a we'll balanced powerful tool that I use to cut tree limbs and small trees. I'm very surprised at the lack of accessory support for this and other FlexForce products, to really make this line an aspirational purchase they need to provide full line support.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Chain saw is great. The battery stopped charging though and now I'm having issues getting a warranty replacement for it. It's been at the place toro recommended me to take (peters true value) it for almost 3 weeks now. I called them the other day to see what was going on and they said toro is making it hard for them to do the exchange. Im unsure if I will get toro products in the future due to this issue.
