We have tried several brands of queso blanco dip and some of them are downright bad, so were surprised to find that we like this one the best. While it's not too hard to make great dip at home, that involves prepping ingredients and investing some time. When in a hurry or bringing to a party etc... , premade dip in the jar is a quick easy safe bet, as long as it actually tastes good and has the right texture. Tostito's nailed it with this dip - even after sitting out an cooling for a while it is not goopy but it still clings to chips just right, is smooth enough that it won't break thin chips, and the flavor is excellent. This is my go-to now.
It's creamy %26 smooth. I didn't heat mine p bto just grab a snack. But we make nachos for a meal with Tostitos tortilla chips, blue, hint of lime %26 original Tostitos queso cheese dip, Tostitos salsa, chunked sharp cheddar, salsa verde %26 sour cream. Thank you. We have nachos at least once a month. I highly recommend all Tostitos products (spinach dip is great!).
this is great on ships but it's also great and other things as far as cooking. and your eggs and rice and macaroni and cheese. I use it in a lot of things I cook.
My husband loves having queso and kettle chips . I have tried every brand out there and the only one he will eat is Tostitos queso ! Don't waste your time or money on the others just stay with the best !
Just 2 reasons this did not earn a 5 star rating across the board: 1) I believe the price is high for the quantity you get - although Walmart's price beats other stores, and 2) once you open it and take your 1st serving from the jar, then cap it back up and put it in the fridge for a couple days, it separates. It does stir back together, so it's not really a big concern, just an added step. We usually make homemade dips, but sometimes we crave this one and it always hits the spot - mostly for tortilla chips, this dip and topped with Farmstand fresh salsa (also from Walmart and very good!). This queso had a little kick, but my grandsons (ages 6 and 10) who are both sensitive to spicy things, really like it, so its spiciness should not be an issue for anyone. Some also prefer it on tacos, and we've even put it on baked potatoes with bacon crumbles, but I still think fresh shredded cheddar works better for that. Hopefully, the price won't increase too much so we can continue to enjoy this treat every so often. Over the years, we've tried other brands of cheese and queso dips, and this one still tops them all.
Me and my husband are disabled,I have a bad back,my husband has Cancer,,its great that we can order our groceries,on line, then it comes to your house,Thank you very much
The price is a bit steep for the amount you get but if you're needing a quick queso dip to take to a party or a nice change at home this is really good! It's a 5 star dip in taste but the price made me take off on star.
I had ordered 2 gv queso blancos. The order puller filled it with 1 gv queso blanco and i guess they were out of stock so they substituted this obscenity. Its too spicy and tastes faintly of dish soap. Then to add insult to injury, I GOT CHARGED FOR 2 JARS OF THE TOSTITO BRAND !!!! AND NO WHERE IN MY ORDER DID IT MENTION 1 JAR OF A SUBSTITUTE, NOR HAD I LISTED ONE ON MY ORIGINAL ORDER. NOT ACCEPTABLE BIZ PRACTICE!!!!!!!
THERE ARE BUGS INSIDE THE LID!!! I am ABSOLUTELY disgusted at this. Opening a brand new jar that I JUST purchased last night. The expiration on it reads 22 APRIL 2025. So the actual item itself is good. But how!!?? How are there bugs along the rim AND inside The lid! DISGUSTING!!!!
When it was delivered, she handed me the packages and I didn't have a good hold how old when she handed to me and it fell and hit the concrete and busted open
