Totes Sunguard Automatic Open Close Umbrella [Neverwet] Phantom Status

I recently decided to replace my older Totes taupe colored umbrella with a new one. There wasn't anything wrong with it, but it was quite old, and I just thought it could need some updating. I saw the beautiful leopard print one and it was perfect. After all, so many people have black umbrellas, and if they saw my leopard print one, they would know it wasn't theirs and leave it alone. It came very quickly, and I do see the difference in the Neverwet fabric! Don't know how they do it, but it sheds water very quickly, so you don't have puddles of water on the carpet in your car when you fold it up, or on your garage floor when you're letting it dry out. And the automatic open/close feature is a winner. Thanks for a quality product that will probably last longer than me! June in Virginia

I just recently purchased online, as it's hard to find the Totes brand in a store. Hasn't had a lot of use. I like the Auto open and close feature, and the rain runs off the umbrella leaving it dry. I also like the color selection that Totes has available online.

Excellent umbrella

This is a nice umbrella. It has an automatic open button %26 close button. All my previous umbrellas had to be closed manually- I like the auto close-no more pinched fingertips. Also the pattern is so different from anything else I have seen-so I won't get it mixed up with any other umbrellas.

I bought this umbrella because, I wanted protection from the sun as well as the rain. This umbrella is good to use in the sun. I haven't tried it in the rain but, I am confident that it will work well for that too.

I'd have given it five stars if it weren't bigger than I'd have liked to carry in my bag. However, it looks nicer in real life than in the picture and it comes with cover unlike my other black Totes umbrella (with white rings, bought in a store). I am still waiting for a heavy rain before I can comment on the umbrella's reliability. At least, it has UVA protection, which is necessary for hot, humid summer days in DC.

Ordered a few umbrellas, on was not working properly, Totes replaced very quickly and didn't make me return the defective one, great service

I opened it and had difficulty closing it back up. I returned it the next day via USPS November 14 and have not received a refund or any acknowledgment from Totes. They are not easy to contact!
