TP-Link Archer T3U Plus IEEE 802.11ac Adapter for Desktop Computer/Notebook

Improves connection on home WiFi compared to built in wifi adapter in older laptops. Installed on both Linux and Windows. Not the most recent standard, although for most routers it doesn't matter. I will likely upgrade to a WiFi-6 adapter when I update WiFi routers.

Easy to install and connect to network. I also doubled my speed, but that was the reason for the upgrade.

I do not have DVD/CD drive in my computer and download driver software from WEB. Link in the the brochure in the box. Easy to install.. I had a before problem with default realtek adapter(ACEMAGIG MINI 2024 computer) that stopping working two- three times per hour making me restart computer that was only choice to restore WIFI. New T3U solved the issue. Currently i have interrupted connection to internet for 72 Hrs.

My older laptop only receives 2.4ghz - instead of getting a new laptop, I bought this and plugged it into - within 10 minutes I had my Sonos system fully hooked up to my office and blasting the other offices in the complex! This was super simple!

Fast speeds compared to even Ethernet, easy setup with disk drive if you don't have disk drive you'll have to find the drivers online but other than that good product

easy to setup and use, working with Ubuntu as well, my Internet speed went up from 30 to 200.

I didnt believe this little hockey stick looking thing would work.... I purchased a gaming computer for my son, someone built it for me. He live streams but he uses a cloud and does all this craziness so he can stream on multiple platforms while gaming, so anyways good computer but no WiFi....say what? Well I did a quick search and this one popped up, I was placing an order anyways so it was cheap so why not add it. I didn't expect it to work, if it did not very well. Boy was I surprised... He has no problems at all, it works as good as it gets, he said the only reason to replace it would be to get one with a higher speed , I didn't and still don't know if he has an open PCIe slot so idk if he can use a PCIe adapter, he's not complaining, so if it ain't broke don't fix it.

We bought the new laptop instead, so we don't need it.

First off, the device immediately broke as soon as it was placed into a USB slot. The USB case instantly crumpled off on the very first insert. Not a good start when the entire crux of your product relates to a USB port. The device is about as fragile as a sheet of tissue paper. Then, after another delay downloading the drivers, they refused to recognize the device and it failed to work after a very frustrating hour of trying and re-trying. Basically, it's a $35 stick that does nothing and breaks in half if there's a stiff wind. Get yourself something more solid and ditch this piece of crap.

with the luck i have dealing with walmart devices, im scared to use it
