Easy to setup, works with Google and Alexa. You can program schedules, you can remotely turn the plug on and off, everything that I needed it to do. Perfect for Christmas lights! I was able to program my lights to come in at 6pm and turn off at 10pm.
I bought two boxes, and have them on three of our trees and one on mantel lighting. I bought a smart surge protector from same company for the other tree and Christmas village. I combined them into a group and just say, “Alexa, Merry Christmas “ and all trees, village, and mantel lights come on. You can also set up on a schedule, but I prefer to manage the lighting times myself. In addition, they were easy to set up; and I am elderly.
Quick and easy to set up. Just added to my existing plugs for more smart home control on my devices.
I have a multiple of these. I plug them to my kids tv to set timers for tv on/off. Several lamps. My módem so that I can turn it off remotely for resets. I love these.
Have used these wifi plugs for years. Automated my deck lighting and outdoor fountains. Easy to set up with Google home. Use them for numerous Google home routines such as lighting.
Great product: they connect EASY and so far VERY reliable. I previously used Wemo and had issues. These connect to my Google Home perfectly. I set these up just in time for the holidays. I would say the magic words, and Christmas was activated!!!
I used kasa outdoor and indoor plugs for all my christmas lights this year. Absolutely loved it. Easy to setup and app worked easily. I could control the lights from my phone whenever i wanted or schedule them - so simple with no hiccups.
Great price. Good functionality. Even though they say it doesn't work with Samsung SmartThings. It does by using the Kasa app and then it can be ported to SmartThings. Though it doesn't have the power meter like Samsung model
They work well, but once you set them up, and use them, say with your phone, your phone is is then the only way to turn the device back. Sucks when you have to find your phone to turn your lamp on, especially, when needed quickly.
I have 6 TP-Links, HS-100 and HS-105. TP-Link never responds to Google Home or Alexa. Just check the google complaints for TP-Link not responding. Maybe 10% of the the time. TP-Link sucks. My Hue lights responds everytime. Now from the Kasa own app, the TP-Link works 100% of the time. But when you want to use voice control or even have it in routines. It will not work. No matter how good your wifi is, how many times you sync your devices, restart your modem, reset your Google Home, change the name or nick name, unlink then relink, etc. It will not work. every other smart thing you have will work, except, if it's by TP-LINK. Your wife will be so irritated saying, Hey Google, turn on the lamp to have nothing happen or hear Google say, it can't do it for whatever reason. It's easier to just get up and turn it off and on yourself. Also, TP-Link is not on Samsung Smart Things, The Harmony Hub, nothing. No company even knows, compatible with, or recognize TP-Link. I hope this review can save somebody some time and money. I'm going to post a screen shot of my google activity where I tell it to turn on the light and what google always says. And as you can see, my device is sync.
