So, my hair is wavy, not curly or coily. It is also low porosity, can be coarse, and it's quite thick. I have a dry scalp, and it produces very little oil. If I rinse my hair daily, I can go 2 weeks without washing it before it starts to look oily. I recently colored my hair, using a 30 vol developer. I got the results I wanted, but it left my hair dry, and the ends are definitely damaged. I applied TPH mask on onto my damp hair, covered it with a processing cap, and left it for an hour. It had a clean, almost cucumber scent. I had to sort of rub it between my hands to warm it and apply it section by section. It rinsed very clean and left no residue on my hair. This detangled well, and my hair felt moisturized. The dry, frazzled ends have been tamed! I did end up using my standard leave-in after this because I still felt like my hair needed it. I find that this mask excels in being clean rinsing, hydrating, and left my hair full of body and shine. Because of my coarse hair texture, porosity, and dryness, I tend to use a lot of products for curly or coily hair. I think some of the curly and coily girls may be looking for a heavier mask than this. It feels very thick and heavy going on, but the overall effect on my hair, personally, was a mask that is pretty average for moisture, but great for smoothing split ends, restoring shine, and seeming to be really low residue.
