I like that this is typically the cheapest option and also all I need. When I first purchase the minutes card, I have them added directly to my phone, and then I can even access the internet for a while! Unfortunately, I lose that ability quickly and can only make phone calls and texts. I'm often satisfied to periodically pair this with a 1 GB card for internet. I do wish there was not a 90 day limit after which you lose any remaining minutes. I often have minutes left, as I don't use my phone much except for a few texts and to access free wifi where it's offered.
I purchased the Tracfone for my 93 year old mother so she would be able to call for assistance in the event her landline doesn't work. She is also able to put it in her pocket if she walks outside. I will continue to purchase the prepaid 90 day digital reload.
I was slightly worried it might not work due to some reviews, but I decided to try it anyway, and it worked great. Very easy to use on my small smartphone in emergencies. I purchased it, and within seconds, received an email with a code. On the Tracefone website, I entered my PIN, added my phone number and PIN, and the process was completed. I will repurchase it. I will add picture next time.
This is the cheapest Tracfone card, and you will only find it at Walmart. Even the Tracfone website either doesn't have it or, when they do offer it, it's only offered at a higher price. It's also the longest lasting and is perfect for those who don't use their phone often. You get three months, though I still tend to run out of days before minutes. If you need more internet data and buy a small GB card to go with it, you will have spent about the same amount as the cheapest offerings on Tracfone cards elsewhere, yet you will be able to call, text, and use the internet, and likely won't run out of data. The easiest option is to have the minutes added directly to your phone, though my only complaint is it has sometimes taken hours for the minutes to finally get added, especially if you add them late at night.
My 3 items were inadvertently deleted from my E=-Mail and were not redeemed at Tracfone. I asked for help from Walmart Support and have I not receiver an answer yet. I first reached out to Support around 11/9/25 and have not had a satisfactory resolution to my situation.
Only purchase this bc my grandmother and aunt are not savvy enough for SMARTPHONE... they have old flip phones and don't utilize it except for emergencies. Tracfone is only good if you don't have to reach out to customer service, but you can accumulate some serious text/call minutes that rollover as long as you remember to add more on time. It's easy enough to load minutes to your phone, but if there's any issues be prepared to spend A LOT of time with back and forth between support. They seem to drag out simple processes and seriously hinder customer experience.
I bought 3 of these . . . I have three Tracfones . . . you MORONS fixed your software so that it CANCELLED two of my "service plan" orders because I suppose your AI considered two of the phone numbers as "fraudulent" ? For GODS SAKE I HAVE THREE TRACFONES ! Each has a different number. FIX YOUR SOFTWARE ! AI is Garbage In - Garbage Out !
Bought a card online and never got the digital delivery so called customer service. Got the card info but had to wait 90 days to use it because of the wait. Bought another card in store to use until i got this mess fixed. 90 days later cant use the catd info for the account and search of the digital delivery site comes back with not a valid sale. never again will i use walmarts service. Totaly unacceptable.
I guess its not walmarts fault I couldn't get a sim card for this card tracfone Said I had to go to walmarts and get a card at the store I went to walmarts and was told I had to order the sim card they don't sell them. So I had to buy a cheapy phone and a Att card and go to an ATT store and have it activated. the walmart store is large and the phones are on the back wall that is all fine but not for someone that just had heart surgery and can't breath . I love the grocery pick for grocers that is a big help THANK YOU I would like a refund for this purchase
I put NO because I tried to add it to my account. They had canceled my account because I "wasn't using it enough." So, I decided to go for a different plan. I tried to get a refund. Walmart does not refund these bought online. Didn't use it so why not a refund? Not happy.
