I like that this is typically the cheapest option and also all I need. When I first purchase the minutes card, I have them added directly to my phone, and then I can even access the internet for a while! Unfortunately, I lose that ability quickly and can only make phone calls and texts. I'm often satisfied to periodically pair this with a 1 GB card for internet. I do wish there was not a 90 day limit after which you lose any remaining minutes. I often have minutes left, as I don't use my phone much except for a few texts and to access free wifi where it's offered.
This is an *incredible* plan if 1) you don't use your phone all that much to begin with, and 2) if pretty much everywhere you go has wi-fi. Best use case for most people is probably for keeping a separate phone for work, but if your personal phone also fits the afore-mentioned use case, by all means, go for it. (You should still totally keep a separate phone for work, though. Just sayin'.)
Only purchase this bc my grandmother and aunt are not savvy enough for SMARTPHONE... they have old flip phones and don't utilize it except for emergencies. Tracfone is only good if you don't have to reach out to customer service, but you can accumulate some serious text/call minutes that rollover as long as you remember to add more on time. It's easy enough to load minutes to your phone, but if there's any issues be prepared to spend A LOT of time with back and forth between support. They seem to drag out simple processes and seriously hinder customer experience.
This item isn't accurate. I logged onto Tracfone and the description from Walmart is different than Tracfone. Spoke with a Tracfone representative and she said: "It seems there may have been a mistake on the website where you purchased the service. Our systems show that it's not a $19.99 plan; rather, it's a $20 minute add-on with 960 minutes." Walmart shows it as a $19.99 60 minute 90 Day prepaid plan.
I guess its not walmarts fault I couldn't get a sim card for this card tracfone Said I had to go to walmarts and get a card at the store I went to walmarts and was told I had to order the sim card they don't sell them. So I had to buy a cheapy phone and a Att card and go to an ATT store and have it activated. the walmart store is large and the phones are on the back wall that is all fine but not for someone that just had heart surgery and can't breath . I love the grocery pick for grocers that is a big help THANK YOU I would like a refund for this purchase
ATTN: CHANGE IN TRACFONE POLICY as of March 2026. Don't buy this if you have any kind of smart phone. Buy the $15 a month plan (cheapest available, 1 GB data, unlimited talk/text, 30 days, $10/mo if you choose auto-renewal). No more 90 day plans for burner smart phones...either buy a new burner flip phone to get the 90 day plan to work, or live with the 30 day plan I mentioned. I almost bought this but I got a renewal offer on Tracfone's site that warned me this plan will no longer work with my smart phone (it clearly said flip phones only).
After buying this card through Wal-Mart for many years with no problem, this time it didn't work. Trac fone insisted I bought a 30 day plan even though I had a Wal-Mart receipt that showed it was a 90 day plan. Lost 2 mths. of service and had to buy another plan at a higher cost. Walmart will not reimburse me either. Walmart should no longer sell these worthless cards.
I bought this E-card and then found out Tracfone wasn't accepting them anymore! I even tried calling Tracfone's costumer service and they were no help, even after 12 years of loyal service. Of course I heard NOTHING from Tracfone before this. (and gift cards are non-refundable) Tracfone customers may want to consider switching to another provider.
Tracfone would not (could not) accept the e-pin number provided by Walmart. After 2 days of submitting the pin by visiting my account, then 2 days of phone calls, Tracfone finally credited my account with 30 days instead of the 90 days that I paid for.
Please know that I'm very grateful that Walmart even carries the TracFone airtime cards online especiaĺy the older ones that had some great values such as triple minutes. Walmart's most amazing service is that it can be sent by email delivery almost instantly. therefore i can get my PIN number very quickly and immediately add minutes to my phone. This worked very very well when I first discovered this unique service several years ago because other places insist on mailing the physical card which could take a few days. But somewhere around April 2024 Walmart changed its website format for ordering things and I found it much more difficult to even find the cards online let alone ordering one as a 'purchase again' item. I had to call for assistance from a human being, which isn't always easy to do. ( I very much dislike the robo Guardians who seem to be programmed to not ever let you talk to an individual unless it's absolutely absolutely necessary for them to connect you to a person.) Once i navigated the site to just find the cards everything was fine EXCEPT THE EMAILS NEVER ARRIVED, even though they indicated on the tracking section that they were delivered. i asumed by now 2025 this email situation of non delivery would have been solved. there's much more to the story but I don't want to take up any more space in this review.Thank you for your time.
