Amazing product. Expensive.

Brian N September 21, 2021

Great device. Fully integrated with my bike and my sena communication device. I'd probably be dead or still lost in the woods without this. You can see it no matter how sunny it is out. No turn-by-turn navigation. Its not maps. You have to load your own maps.

The best tool for exploration and adventure

Jeffrey C October 4, 2021

This is the best addition to my bike in a long time. Most of my riding group got these. The navigation is amazing! The large, color screen is easy to see from any angle. The touchscreen makes it easy to figure out where you are trying to go by sliding the map around and zooming in and out easily. Track management is great being able to load a bunch of tracks and show/hide them as needed. And the best feature of all, Buddy Tracking! We haven't hit the range limit yet and we've gotten several miles separation so far. The lead rider can see how spread out everyone is and wait till the others are moving. I use the Beacon feature to gather everyone together, or stop the lead rider to wait. The Beacon is a really cool feature!

Great unit

Chris R July 25, 2021

Great unit- reliable and intuitive easy to use interface. Thinking I will add the wheel speed sensor as the gps speedometer is a bit slow to respond but fine for most use.

Beautiful Screen and Much Easier to Use

Jason July 22, 2018

The new screen is beautiful and is finally more like a real navigation unit. It's much bigger then the old Voyager and it is much easier to use. -m-2018 KTM 500 EXC-F--

Good at tracking

Brent T July 12, 2025

Great at tracking offroad. Not real useful on road or as a gps option. I use on both 300xcw. Also on my 890 as a backup gps option in case my primary goes out. Controls are a little cumbersome abs take some getting used to. I wish there were more options for auto on/off tracking. All in all it's good for the single track riding I do on the 300. I'm on my second one

Great Bike information, with a cool GPS!

Elias June 30, 2020

Awesome GPS! Although, I mostly use it for my bike temperature, rpm, speed, voltage, hour meter, and maintenance intervals. After learning how to use the GPS options and load my own tracks, I have used the GPS a lot more than I did at first. If you are doing hard enduro stuff, make sure that you spend the extra money for the aluminum protector case, just so that it does not break off of your bike every ride. It fell off of my bike in the first twenty minutes of my first two rides. Then I bought the Aluminum protector case with the 1-1/4” mount and placed it between my handlebars and gas tank and it has been great there.

No more getting lost

Mathew H November 4, 2021

Awesome product. Would have got a 5 star had it had more mounting options. Highly recommend the aluminum case. Could not center mount because of stabilizer which center mounts so mine sits a bit higher then what I want. Gonna make a mounting bracket that lowers it eventually. As far as how the product works. It works incredible. Not getting lost anymore in open land areas. -m-2021 HUSQVARNA TC 250--

Seems nice so far, but installation is not easy

Michael August 17, 2018

If you have a stabilizer and no risers it most likely won't fit. I am going to mount it on a ball mount tomorrow most likely. The wires seem short out of the mount, just so you know. I am hoping my wires on the 501 reach. The software and usability of the unit seem very good. This is my first trailtech product. I would not see this as a Montana or full featured gps replacement at all. This is just an upgraded voyager with maps. I really like the screen and the functionality as a dirt bike gauge replacement. This is what I was looking for. -m-2017 HUSQVARNA FE 501--

Good but not quite there yet

690 MX July 25, 2021

The concept of this GPS is great, however the execution leaves a bit to be desired. First off the HW is mostly sturdy but the rubber overmold for the buttons is worthless. Text wore off just from setup, and the minor abrasion from my cable rubbing on it for a few min till i moved it wore some of the rubber away. Called Trail tech and they were aware of the issue but had no current fix. Second is the SW side, while I know they are coming out with updates to make mapping easier it still takes a lot of effort to load OHV trails, or map overlays. Also my unit likes to loose GPS every so often, which tech support had me reinstall the OS which as of right now has made it better but not great. On the Pro side of this, the tracking when GPS works is great, the gauges are nice to finally have, and this GPS has allowed me to find home out in the woods several times when it works. Since there aren't many other options that offer all these features this is still the best bet if you need a GPS plus gauge cluster in one.

Big expense but it has some great features

Gregory H October 6, 2021

My buddies got these and I went along and joined the club. The buddy tracking is great, when it doesn't drop out, but you can see that it did by the icons, the topo maps they have are decent but you need to get better quality if exploring deep into unfamiliar areas. This is a lot easier to see than having a phone based gps app strapped to the bars. One day we were getting rained on and the map was jumping around as the drops hit it...I think I could have locked the scree and prevented that. Still trying to figure it out I used to use motionX gps which is a very quirky app but oddly I'm having a slow go at loving the TTvp interface. I know that I will and hopefully it won't fly off or land on a rock. They should make a tether so that you can at least not have it turn into a hunt. The cost is huge, and I wish they included an SD card and a better dock, overall I'm happy with it. -m-2014 KTM 300 XC-W (E-Start)--
