When I received the product I started using it with my legs right away. I have a rare autoimmune disease that destroys my nerves and weakens my leg and arm muscles. This machine is perfect for someone like me with balance issues who can't sit on a regular exercise bike seat. I noticed while trying it on my arms that my tension knob seems to be broken. No matter which way I turn it, the tension doesn't seem to change. I emailed the seller right away and they responded very quickly offering a full refund because of the broken tension knob. They were very helpful and kind. The machine itself is really light, and still very helpful even with the problem I mentioned. I would recommend it to people who need exercise but have limited mobility like myself.
I have stasis dermatis in both of my lower legs along with a case of chronic plantar fasciitis, I'm hoping this will help to build strength and circulate the blood back up to my heart and reduce the inflamation in my lower legs and feet. This small machine gives the option to peddle in the comfort of a living room while watching a favorite tv show or while time playing around on social media, You could actually take it with you anywhere you go, Its small and compact so it doesnt take up a lot of room, When I'm finished with it I'm able to just sit it off to the side of the chair and pull it back over when I'm ready to cycle again. I've only used it a few times since I got it which has only been around three days, I'll update at a later time after I've had more time with the machine and hopefully have good news to report on.
This is very well made and easy to use. If you have a wood or tile floor, you will need to put something under it so it does not slip. I got it for my husband after his hip replacement. He's supposed to use it daily. It is currently a decoration by our fireplace! I am going to take it to work and use it at my desk.
We purchased this product to help both my husband and I through therapy. It was the perfect item for me, and my husband will be using it in about a month or two.
I have arthritis in my knees and edema in my lower legs and ankles from sitting on my butt all day. Since it hurts to walk, I thought an exercise bike would be in order, but I was afraid it would take up too much space. The mini trainer takes care of both the exercise and space issues, BUT the quality control on its manufacture leaves much to be desired. Luckily, the company has great customer service. The first unit I got had a hitch at the top of each rotationâ€"a problem with the clutch probably. I received a timely refund and ordered another one. When my husband tried to assemble it, he discovered that the cranks were reversed, so he had to reverse the pedals too. He's been an avid cyclist for years and explained that pedals are designed to tighten themselves as they're used on the crank. My unit won't do that, but since I'm just spinning, it's unlikely to be an issue. In sum, the trainer works great for my modest purposes, but I wouldn't recommend it for a real workout.
I like the machine, but I have wide feet. straps are not long enough to accommodate my big feet and shoes. Also, because of my size it's too narrow. I'm trying to see what other things I can do to increase the size of the strap. Yes, I can turn it over. However, when I do I can't concentrate on anything else since my big feet slep off the pedals. Actually it is a pretty good little exerciser.
I bought this product after neck surgery. Needed to help loosen up my muscles that were really tight, and so far it has helped. Great for warming and loosening sore neck, and back muscles. I could not afford to pay for a expensive machine, so was very excited it works as smoothly as it does. It's not as smooth as the larger machines like this, but you will get use to it being a bit different very soon.
I'm actually completely rewriting this review because I HATED the bike at first. I think I just needed to break it in!When the package arrived, I think the tension knob was not at the lowest setting. Because there isn't too much tension I didn't even notice and thought it was broken when I tried to tighten it further because it made some horrendous screeching noises when pedaling. I loosened it as much as I could, cycled it a couple times, and then tightened it back and it seems to be working well now. It is very awkward that it doesn't stop to tell you where the max or min tension is though... the knob just turns freely. Not sure if it's supposed to be like that.HOWEVER, I can now cycle at the tension I want and after using it for about an hour, the pedals now move smoothly and isn't as awkward to use as when I first started. I plan to use this often and am very happy to have some extra motion while having to sit at a desk for the majority of the day.
I used the House Portable Exercise Bike for the 1st time today. I walk, but wanted something for those really hot day. I felt I got a better work-out in the 20 minutes I did on the bike than the 30 minutes I walk. The pedaling was a bit choppy at times, but I expected that. My biggest complaint was with the foot band. At it largest it did not fit with the athletic shoes the manual says to wear. I made it work. Over all I'm happy with the purchase, for that price. However I will probably up grade at some point for a mini that is smoother to peddle, even if more expensive.
I like how easy this bike is to set up, but it could use a resistance readout and a pair of hand grips for use with the arms. The bike provides a good workout for those like me in a wheelchair. I put a bathmat under it to prevent slippage, set it up on a table, and there I go.
