Tramontina Enameled Cast Iron 5.5 Quart Round Dutch Oven

My husband purchased two Dutch Ovens for me several years ago. During a visit my sister used one to make pudding and she liked how nice the pudding came out in the Dutch Oven. So I ordered one for her and she's very pleased with it.

the price and quality from top of stove to oven is awesome my mom has one shes had it about 10 years this is why i got one and now im happy to report it cooks as well as hers does im quite happy..

This pot is just as well made as more expensive ones. I've purchased two in different sizes and I'll add more if I need to. There's no reason to spend three to four times more for the same excellent quality.

I had no idea how much I would use a Dutch Oven! I can't believe that this hasn't taken the place of crock pots with regard to is perceived necessity for starting off a new kitchen. My husband and I use this so much. The kind of cooking we do usually involves browning meat and or onions and garlic initially and then adding more ingredients which is essentially every meal we make! I even use it in addition to or in place of my cast iron skillet when I make fish in the oven! I'm telling you this is a kitchen essential!!!!

I have previously purchased LeCruset Dutch oven as well as other items from that line. After cooking and oven braising pork and beef items in the Tramontana Dutch oven I am delighted with the results in quality and clean up ease. With no difference in quality,I intend to take money I saved and purchase more pieces from the Tramontina line. Win, win!

This Dutch oven is great. Very solid and heavy we've only had it for a week but wife uses it all the time. And the blue is a great color.
