I am in love with my new tramontina set! I was on the market for a new set and wanted to move away from nonstick as I found myself having to replace way too often. This set has by far exceeded my expectations and the price point makes it even better.
i replaced all my old non stick vessels with the Tramontina stainless set. It's thick bottom gets my food heated and cooked perfectly and my food never gets burnt. my brother just got married ,was so impressed with this set that he got this for his new apartment as a starter set. i highly recommend this cookware set.it covers all your kitchen needs.
Tramontina Gourmet Stainless Steel Cookware Set is a superior set of pans. They are made in Brazil with the best of workmanship. The lids all fit perfectly. And a nice variety of sizes to use when cooking. They are a bit on the heavy side especially with a food that needs to go from stove to strainer. They can be used in the oven up to 500 degrees. But be extremely careful on removal because they do get very very hot as noted in the how to use book. They are rather difficult for me to use because of the weight factor but other wise a great purchase.
Right out of the box you can tell that these are quality pots and pans. I did not realize there would be a difference in just boiling water but there legitimately is. Food cooks more evenly than in my old set of pans. The handles stay cool. They clean up fairly easily. I highly recommend these pans.
I have had stainless steel cookware before that just drove me crazy...sticking (even after treating) and burning food but not these! They are sturdy, oven proof, virtually will cook without too much sticking to the pan AND the handles don't get too heated on the stove. The only thing that I would have liked is for the 2 skillets to have a lid like the others, the lids for the other pans all work well, they fit any of them since they are all the same width but the skillets are a different size so not one lid will fit them.
Love this cookware! The product description recommends medium to low heat for most daily preparation - I'm so glad I followed those instructions! This makes for non-stick cooking with the easiest cleanup I've experienced pretty much ever. I highly recommend!!!
This high quality 10 pc stainless steel cookware set is beautiful, high polished chrome like stainless steel, Heavy duty bottoms for even cooking on electric stove top, convection cooktop, and can be used in oven with the all metal design, The flared edge is great design, no drips or stains down the sides of these , the lids fit snug, the handles are strong, I highly recommend this high quality cookware set
This item is of quality 18/10 steel. One note is that while the polish outside is good and aesthetically appealing, the inside is rather dull and less polished. This labor and time saving cost measures allow the food to stick more to the surface inside.
The set is of good quality stainless steel. They are very heavy. They are beautiful to look at. I used the 3 qt casserole first. I loved this piece. It was large enough to hold alot of food without using a pot. I was just reheating leftovers. I had no problem with sticking. However, the handle of the lid was extremely hot despite the fact that I only used medium heat. But I loved the way it cooked everything evenly. Washing was a snap. I did not dry right away so I ended up with all these white cloudy spots. I rewashed and everything was good as new. I would recommend this set for anyone looking for a good quality stainless steel set. It has all the essential sized pots and pans needed for everyday cooking.
The pans are very nice and are burgundy on the outside with a cream enamel interior. I was surprised that they came with instructions to season the pans like you have to season cast iron cookware. I washed, seasoned, and re-washed as instructed and finally got to use the pans. I've cooked eggs in the small skillet and loved how it performed. Used very little butter and the white of the egg came out cooked nicely (hate when some of the white isn't completely cooked, yuck) with no brown edges. The yolk was runny, just the way I like it. The egg was easy to turn with a silicone spatula, which is recommended, and I could actually turn the skillet slightly over the plate and it slid out without breaking the yolk. Just like you see on tv. I've never been able to do that with an iron skillet. I was truly impressed. I also made a grilled cheese and some cheese oozed onto the pan. After cooling it wiped away. The large kettle I used to cook a pot of ham, green beans, and potatoes. Because there is a lot of liquid I didn't expect any sticking and there wasn't. I've used the small saucepan to heat soup and the larger saucepan for mac and cheese with no sticking. Haven't had a chance to use the lasagna pan, pizza pan, or larger skillet. Something tells me the pizza pan will be good to use for cookies. I don't think chocolate chips will stick like they do on my old greased cookie sheet. If I can wipe the skillet with a paper towel why not the cookie sheet. The lasagna pan will be used to cook dressing for my large family for Christmas dinner. I'm sure it will be a snap to clean afterwards. I wish I had gotten these pans long ago. I've thrown out a lot of pans because of burned or browned food that just doesn't come off. I'm anxious to see how these pans pass the test of time. I think it looks pretty positive.
