i really don't need a large fry pan. But i love these large pans to fry my chicken or various meats. today i battered up chicken, and fried it up. oh it come out so nice and crispy! cooked even, heated up real nice. my only complaint is more confusion?? as it got hot, it made a popping sound. dont know why? but i love my new fry pan! not a bad price either
I was mainly looking for a pan without any aluminum and this was a great buy! I have used it for a week and I am impressed. Pros It has good size and holds multiple items. It provides even heat distribution and cooks food quickly and evenly. It is light weight but not flimsy. The handle has good length and easy to grip. The quality of the nonstick is great and food does not stick or burn. Affordable rate for a quality product. Cons Nothing so far! Have to see how it will hold up in the long run.
Nice pan. I like the weight being so light. I have problems with my hands and can't lift the heavy pans anymore. I used medium heat where I usually use med-high with my old pan. The food cooked very evenly. The reason for 4 stars on the handle is that it doesn't seem as sturdy as my old pan. Make sure to read the instructions before using.
Awesome pan heats evenly nonstick is really nonstick! Cleanup is easily with this Nonstick surface usally just a quick wipe and done. I have used Tramontina cook ware for 20 plus years and they always meet expectations of quality and more value for your money.
This pan is awesome, so far. As everyone knows, when it comes to no-stick pans, you can't really judge them until you've used them many times. They often start out good then get useless after a while. We'll see, but so far it's a crazy good bargain.
I had hoped for a handle made of wood, much more comfortable. I have other cookery items made by Tramontina so I didn't hesitate to buy. The instructions that came with it were almost funny. Perhaps they were directed at someone who's not cooked before. Otherwise, it is a well made pan that appears to be sturdy and useful for my needs.
I have only used it once so far. It's solid and a great size. I doubled a recipe for a Chicken Pad Thai stir fry with several vegetables added and it all fit in the pan. I love having the cover for the pan too. It was very easy to wash. So far, so good. 👍🏼👍🏼
I bought this to replace an old cooker which had its handle wobbling. Tramontina is a fantastic brand, the quality of the pan is top notch, the handle is sturdy despite the weight of the pan, so far there are no scratches or wrapping. It's big enough to fit whole bacon strips without having to cut them. The lid is also very sturdy and can withstand high heat. It also seems to heat up evenly all around. Definitely a great purchase!
I like this pan but you cant use high heat, because its not very thick and it will bow or bubble in the middle. I just keep it down to med-high. Its great because it has a large cooking surface, that I use it for everything. The surace is really good and nonstick.
Pros: Size was great. Nonstick worked well. Good price. Cons: Did not heat well at all. I have a glass top stove, and on the highest temp it would not sear my food. Even after 10 minutes, it still would not brown the food even left on high. My normal pans would have burned the food left on this setting for this long.
