Transformers: Season Three and Four (DVD), Shout Factory, Drama

If you are a transformers fan, especially the G1 series, this is a must have.

if you like the 80's you need to watch all this season.

This was the only two seasons I was missing from my collection I'm glad Walmart had this in their DVD section

Seasons Three and Four of the original series jumps forward in the timeline to 2005, which at the time was about 20 years to the future. Set after the events of the Animated Movie (which sadly hasn't been released again in about 8 years) Rodimus Prime has been named Leader of the Autobots who know help the Human race and other Planets in the universe try to co-exsist peacefully. The Autobots have regained control of Cybertron while the Decepticons now led by the mad reformatted Megatron, Galvatron desperately strike for energy sources across the universe. Some fans look down at these seasons for the lack of some of their favorite characters from previous seasons. Many characters were given the axe more than figuratively during the events of the movie and others have just disappeared. The Autobots during season 3 focus on many of the characters featured in the film, Rodimus, Ultra Magnus, Springer, Kup, Arcee, and Grimlock. Some episodes will feature more characters like the Technobots, or focus on all the animal styled transformers for a few. Plots vary from being kinda fun to what were they thinking. Also the Decpticons have a rival for being the bad guys this season with the Quntessons (five faced alien robots who supposedly have ties to the transformers). Season 4 really is just a 3 episode speed run of introducing the next product wave of transformers. Collectively titled the Rebirth it follows a group of transformers getting another planet involved with their war and creating the Targetmasters (transformers weapons that change into mech suits for the new alien allies), The Headmasters (similar to the Targetmasters just with the robots heads) and two giant base transformers Scorponok, and Fortress Maximus. For the price here I'd say it's a good value to grab if you want a copy of the later seasons of the original series.
