Interesting design, but plain.
Steelbane has nice sculpting, creating the look of a heavily-armoured knight with plenty of small details all throughout the armour. There's a nice dirt effect to make him look like he's very old and worn out from weather and battle. The dragon/wyvern mode is kinda cool, but it doesn't feel big enough. It's a bit skinny and unfinished looking, and the hip joints (which become the neck and tail joints) are not strong enough to hold up the figure. Steelbane will often fall backwards due to the weight of the wings in robot mode, and the wings will droop down in wyvern/dragon mode. The articulation is fairly impressive, even if it's a bit on the loose side. Popping the wings off makes him look more like the Knights of Iacon from the movie. Steelbane is not a bad figure, but he's not great either. For the price, I think more interesting characters are available. If he had been Voyager sized, I may have felt better.
