Lovely product - just use it as a cleanser every morning then follow on with your wonderful serum and whichever moisturiser I decide to use - all are wonderful!

I'm so annoyed with myself. I always read ingredients as I know I have sensitive skin that cannot tolerate SLS. I had assumed, because this product is shiseido, that it would not contain this ingredient (my fault, I know). This completely stripped my skin and I believe it has damaged my skin barrier. Again, this is my fault for not checking ingredients that I know my skin is sensitive to, but I am disappointed that shiseido are using SLS in their products. I had assumed (again, wrongly) that the foam was due to the pump dispenser rather than the ingredients. Now, the positives - my skin was extremely glowy and radiant after using this, my skin definitely felt clean after using it, and I enjoyed the feel of the soft foam on my skin. If you don't have sensitive skin/an intolerance to SLS, I would actually recommend this as I was enjoying using it. Hence my 3 star review.

I love the softener itself but the pump is hopeless. It sprays everywhere regardless of how you position it or the cotton wool pad. I lose most of the product that the pump dispenses. It is infuriating. I have used the Shiseido softeners for nearly 20 years and never had an issue before.

I've been using this product for a couple months now, and I agree with other reviewers: the pump is TERRIBLE. If you press it like you'd normally do, it goes everywhere. It's impossible to get a decent amount in a cotton pad so you end up having to use more. It honestly annoys me so much that I've made up my mind not to buy this again. Add to this that the product seems sometimes a bit heavy on my face. Some days it feels soft and lovely, sometimes it just feels tacky and far too rich. This is just my skin, of course, and to be fair it hasn't caused any reaction. Maybe I just need something more exfoliating. But no, I won't be buying again… or maybe if they changed the pump!
