I use these shoes for working in a restaurant. They are very slip-resistant and work well on wet or greasy floors, which is important for safety. They are sturdy and durable, but they are not the most comfortable for long shifts. Overall, they are a good option for work if you need reliable slip-resistant shoes!! (The pictures are from 2 months of use ).
My husband has to be dressed professionally for work, even though it does entail working outside at times no matter what the weather. These shoes are comfortable, waterproof and dressy, all at a great price.
I loved these shoes at first. now I would say, only like. they have a semi-rugged look I like, they are great on rainy days, very water-resistant, and good traction for wet surfaces. they are the best shoes I've ever owned in terms of standing comfortably in them all day. if you stand a lot, put these on. However, they aren't as good for walking. Maybe I never fully broke them in, probably didn't, and full disclosure, I was really out of shape and my feet were literally weak from lack of use at the time, but my feet would get tired in these walking for very long. So standing, amazing. looks, great. traction, great. walking, eh. also one developed a squeak in it during the first week of wearing them. I think this may be part of why I never broke them in properly. I think maybe that squeak finally went away, though.
I gave my boyfriend the gift of tread safe men Gary slip resistant Oxford shoe. His first response was how amazed he was with how light the shoe was when he walked. Very comfortable and the material is durable enough as a work shoe. I like how the shoelace black color matches the black shoe. Stitching seems to be holding up very well. This is a very well made shoe. He has used them for a month and they are holding up very good with his line of work. I would recommend this shoe to any working man who needs a tough shoe but also light enough to wear it won't weigh his foot down.
The Garys are my must-have for greasy kitchen or slick custodial work. Hot grease and fluids sometimes splash about in my kitchen and Gary here keeps all the elements out with it's contiguous leather-like shell and your feet on the ground with the slip resistant hexagonal-lug sole. A reasonable weight too, they're almost feather light when they come off the shelf, only gaining what looks to be their proper weight after being broken in and covered in those dense greases, so people who are used to sneaker weight and don't want a heavy clog or boot weighing them down can protect their feet without tripping over them. Gary's construction also means that they're a breeze to hose off while on your feet with even just hot water without tarnishing the material or soaking your socks. My local WalMart has slept on these and doesn't keep them on their shelves, but ordering them online is just as easy. They come pretty accurately sized and the perfect extra pinch of width. Not only are they dependable, but they're classic and smart looking. If you have work but also an event, new-enough Garys will pass well with a Sunday suit and go right on to serve at least 6 months of 5-day/week,, 8-hour/day wear at an active walking job before the tread finally wears flat from new. Should be stocked standard in every Walmart.
Excellent shoes have worked out as good as I expected them to. I highly recommend them if you work in the food service industry.
Love this shoe its a working person that stands on their feet ALL DAY SHOE! I have reordered these shoes multiple times. aA must for those who are on their feet ALL DAY!
First of all the process of purchasing was an absolute pleasure, delivery was seamless, so fast… I ordered these for my husband, he has worn them for years. He always says comfortable, and for the money last a long, long time…
They are comfortable, keeps their shape, resist weather elements well but with polish on them for additional surface protection. They were really impressive with sure footing in the snow! Buy them !
Good price and look. However, it is a bit tight around toes and front feet, and durability is to be tested over the coming year. Wide model would be desired.
