TRESemmé Root Touch-Up Temporary 2.5 oz

I liked the nozzle, there is a slim matchstick size piece that sticks out from the main square part under the lid of the product and due to the slender shape of this part you can be accurate in your aim. This product has virtually no smell, it does not stain the bed linen and it stays on your hair / scalp till it is washed away. It dries very fast. Full coverage . No mess. If you are using it around the front of your hairline i recommend you use a little vaseline on your forehead to protect your skin from taking on the color of the product.

I’ve been using L’Oréal Magic Root Cover-Up until I decided to give this one a try. While it was effective, I hated how the color would linger in my hair, no matter how many times I would try and wash it out - which also made my hair look greasy. As a result, I’ve had so many pillowcases and tops ruined with black stains from the product. Tresemme Root Touch-Up seems to be more water based, so it washes off easily and doesn’t leave behind any stains. Wish I would’ve discovered it sooner - especially because it’s actually cheaper than L’Oréal. Would’ve saved money and ruined pillowcases. Better late than never, I suppose.

I use this regularly while my hair is growing back in with my Rogaine. I just wish it didn’t dye my hands when I run my hands through my hair. It will also stain your pillows.

I've tried two other brands before TRESemmé, but I've come to like this brand better for two reasons. 1) It's light on the scalp and hair - looks more natural. The other brands were somewhat difficult to wash off. I know others may prefer the color to stay longer. Not for me. I prefer to wash it of each time I take a shower. 2) It's a lot easier to control the spray. The other two brands I tried, was a little harder to control. The other brand doesn't have a nozzle, so it spreads so wide and more messy.

The color shows up for about 2–3 days with light brushing, though it will fade faster if you wash your hair or sleep roughly on it. For a temporary spray, that's solid performance. It's carry-on friendly and easy to stash. Just in a more portable package. A sleek, travel-friendly design would make this a product for festivals, overnight trips, or on-the-go touch-ups.

Cosmetologist here. There are several on the market recently. I have tried all of them ha-ha and come back to this one. It’s also a better value. They are all sticky, but this one is easier to work with and more natural looking between colors since color is so hard on my aging hair. Thankful this was invented!

It was not as smelly as some hairsprays. The color “dark brown” was a light brown in my opinion. It did not match my dark brown hair at the roots as I planned so I had to use more as highlights to blend it in. My hair is not “almost black” either, it has a range of browns.The spray was finer than other brands I’ve tried which I liked, and probably made the effect more natural.

if u need a quick fix and don't care that it makes your hair icky to touch and no matter how many hours go by, if you rub your hands through it to try to pick it up, your hands and nails are solid black. the icky feeling gets worse with time. your nails and fingers will be black and embarrassing. it gets all over my clothes. actually this gets 1 star. I did it bc it was convenient at the time

Have been using a competitor root touch-up that you paint on, so thought I would give this spray-on a try - but I won't be repurchasing. The spray itself comes out so forcefully that it's nearly impossible to control application to a specific area. I continually ended up with spray everywhere. When you get it where you want it the color is alright, but the chaotic spray made it not great.

The spray is uneven and splatters all on you. If you've always wanted freckles and never had them, this is the product for you. No matter how I try it always ends up on my forehead and face. 🥴
