These cuticle trimmers are VERY sharp and you have to soften your cuticles in warm water before using. However, if you pay attention, are careful and move the cutter slowly, it does a superb job. They don't stay sharp long, so you need to replace them often, but worth it.

Be careful. These are well sharp. Perfection.

Bought it several months ago. Keep it next to my home computer, and use it regularly - as a result I never pick at my cuticles and make them bleed. Convenient to use, does the job.

In this instance, I definitely got what I paid for, i.e. a cheaply made item for a cheap price. The blade on the protrudes so far out, is son thin and unstable, I afraid that if I try to use it the blade will slice through my finger. The handle portion is a very cheap ugly blue color. You don't get to select your color. I threw the pkg away so I can't return. I'll just throw it in the trash and chalk it up to another .99 cent life lesson. I will purchase a different one either in person, when able to do so, or order the most costly one online that appears to be 100 times better quality than this one. I do wonder though exactly what the reviewers received that gave this item a high rating. Maybe I received a defective one.

Second trim into my cuticle (I softened my nails in warm water 2 minites) and it sliced right into my nail and made it bleed numerous times. Poor quality. Doesn't matter how gentle you are.
