I particularly like the voice caller ID announcement. Units have large display that is easy to read and large number pads that are lit. I really like the ability to separate contacts into groups and assign each group its own ring. I had to replace my old set because I could not find the specialized battery pack; this new set uses AAA rechargeables; easily found anywhere.
I especially like the larger numbers/buttons, because I'm less apt to press the wrong key. Also has larger letters and numbers in the display screens, which makes seeing them with aged eyes easier. Sound Clarity is very good, as is the range. All in all, very pleased with this purchase.
My favorite features are the phone book and blocking calls with no numbers. When putting numbers into phonebook you can organize into catagories and you need only enter the number once and it's saved to all handsets. I also like being able to block calls that show up as unknown on the caller ID.
We had an AT&T set before this. Always little things to complain about. This Panasonic set was recommended by a friend that is currently using it -- we like it! Conversations are clear, no interference coming through, bigger buttons and easy to program. I prefer to use a headset & Panasonic is the only brand that still offers the side jack. Overall, our buying choice could not have been better.
Have been looking for some time for what this telephone offers. I have an old Panasonic that still works great and refuse to give it up (it's in my bedroom). I am retired now plus don't get around as fast so I wanted a phone in the computer room and living room so I wouldn't have to race to the kitchen to answer it. This phone is great. Clarity of a person's voice is exceptional, even next to my computer every word is clear and no static. Easy to read the window, larger buttons/numbers, the one in the computer even plays back the message someone left. I don't know if the living room one does that since I haven't been in there when a message was left but this phone actually talks and tells me who is calling - clearly and understandable. I am sticking with Panasonic. Both portables receive signal from the base/phone in the kitchen so don't need extra phone jacks. I believe I got more than my money's worth. I'd recommend it to anyone.
There are so many good things to say about these phones it's hard to know where to begin. The price is very reasonable for what you get. Three phones, one base unit and two remotes. The base has the answering machine and is the only one of the three that needs to be connected to a telephone jack. The handsets are identical. They have huge, easy to read keys. Those keys take a bit to get used to, requiring a firm press to engage them. Multiple features like speakerphone, caller ID, mute, etc... in a large easy to read display format are a pleasant surprise in phones in this price point. The range and the clarity on these phones is outstanding. I would not hesitate to recommend this set to a friend.
Let me start by saying, I know there are many people who don't even have a "home phone" anymore, just cell phones, but we do, mostly for sending & receiving faxes. I have had Panasonic cordless phones in my house for many years now. Once or twice I tried another brand, but the quality wasn't there & they didn't last very long either. I ordered this system online with delivery to my neighborhood store, which I do frequently (no shipping cost), and as usual, it arrived ahead of schedule, I got my email & text message that it was in, & picked it up easily & quickly. This Panasonic system is easy to hook up & loaded with convenient features...easy to follow instructions; 3 phone locations throughout the house, so there is always a phone nearby; great reception & range for clear calls; long battery life; good answering machine which allows you to check messages easily from any phone; a light on each phone to indicate you have a message; several different ringers to choose from, including voice announce of the name or number calling (verbal caller ID); I think a 50 name (contacts) phonebook; volume control button on side of each handset; big clear screen & big buttons; etc. You can even program the ringer of each handset to be silent (sleep) during certain times...like, I don't want this 1 to ring from midnight to 8am. (you can set an alarm, block access to the voicemail, everything) A great cordless phone system that I strongly recommend.
Bought this to replace an older AT&T DECT 6 phone that couldn't stand up to the abuse from my family. The 3rd handset means I might actually have a chance at keeping up with at least one charged handset since the rest migrate frequently. Battery life is excellent so far and the handsets use standard rechargeable AAA batteries for when they do bite the dust. The handset locator works well (assuming they have enough juice to sound off). This phone system has a common phone book shared by all handsets. Voice messages can be played back by the handset. speaker volume is good. The black on white LCD displays are low resolution but have great contrast and are easy to read with old eyes. The phone menus are not terribly intuitive but can be mastered with a little time invested in using the device. Yet again another great Panasonic product. DO NOT waste your time and money buying any other cordless phone system. The rest are junk compared to this gem.
This is the 2nd time that I've purchased a set of Panasonic phones for my home. My last set lasted me for many years. It was just recently that the battries went dead in each handset. I could have easily replaced the battries, but I decided to get new phones instead. I chose the Panasonic again because I like their phones, and I wanted to get something with a smaller base than my last set. One thing I like about the Panasonic 6.0 PLUS phones is the handsets have bigger buttons and a little bigger screen face.
I have a Panasonic phone I really like but it had started dropping calls--I am signed up with Verizon Home Phone Connect which uses a wireless router with a cordless phone. The phone I have is about 6 years old. I tried another phone I had around the house and it wasn't any better. I tried resetting my old phone....didn't help. So I thought I would buy a new phone and that's where the Panasonic KX-TG4733B comes into play. It dropped calls also so I figured it is a Verizon issue. I returned this phone though because the quality of the sound was muffled somewhat and not very clear. The handset was bigger than I was used to with my other Panasonic phones and it was uncomfortable for my hand. I really like Panasonic products but his phone was not a keeper for me. Someone else might really like the size and maybe wouldn't have a problem with how the phone sounds.
