We have used these date stamps for years. They work as expected.

When I first open the box, I was totally impressed with the size, height and width of this date stamp. I tell you I would not have a hard time trying to locate it when I need it the most. What I love so much about the Trodat Professional Date Stamp #5030 is how it allows me to stamp documents accurately and firmly. I also love that sturdy steel structure and handle, which also allows me to be able to press firmly with action. The self-inking has an excellent date impression. It's very bold, clear and visible to be seen from a distance. It also has a powerful, swift stamping action, which does not halt between the stamping process. Therefore, I can speed through multiple documents for a great date impression within a manner of seconds. Super! The Trodat Stamp is very easy to use and the ink installment is quick. I also love that I have other options of using various colors such as red and blue. It does leaves a nice professional impression each time. I really like the Trodat Professional Date Stamp #5030 because of its powerful stamping action, accurate dating impression, the steadiness to handle such extreme amounts of paperwork that needs to be dated for consistency, and organized monthly. It definitely does make my work a lot easier, faster and very precise!

Well, this is quite the hefty stamp, weighing in a 7 ounces! It is fairly bulky compared to the size of the actual stamp it makes, but I think this is because it has the option to customize with your name, business name, etc. I'm not mechanically inclined at all, but I managed to install the black ink pad without reading the instructions. I've had trouble with the ink pads on other stamps, so this was a pleasant surprise. The stamp is really comfortable in the hand, and all the edges are smooth and/or rounded. It seems like it will be comfortable to use over and over. Added bonus: the inky bits of dates that you've already used are covered, so this stamp is clean to use, with no risk of ink smearing. The only thing that isn't comfortable are the dials used to adjust the date/year. These dials are narrow, have lots of texture, and must be pressed on fairly hard to actually change the date, which gets a little uncomfortable on the fingertips after a few turns. But the good news is, you won't usually need to turn the dial much when adjusting the date. FYI: The year on this date stamp goes up to 2033. With the way it is built, I anticipate it might actually last that long. On a final note: this item is carbon neutral!

Super easy to use. The ink slides into the unit easy and keeps it away from hands. You can pop it back out and cover when you no longer need for storage. The dies were easy to scroll dates on. And from 1 inking I got about 3 really good numbers. Plan on using this to keep track of paid bills.

Trodat professional self inking stamp makes dating documents easy. The included ink pad is easy to insert and remains securely in place. The box had very basic instruction printed on it that were easy to follow. There are also QR codes to scan that offer easy access to the product specifications. The stamp feels well build. Setting the date is relatively easy but requires working with small rubber parts that you turn to adjust the date. It took me a minute to realize I should push actuator and press the side buttons to lock the stamp in place before adjusting the date. The plastic guard protects your hands from getting the ink on them while making the adjustment. Make sure to align the numbers and Month name well or you might see some misalignment when using it. I have not used it enough to comment on how long the ink pad would last but it seems to remain stable over the two weeks of lights daily use to date mail.

If you do alot of paperwork that needs dating this is for yo especially. I have to fill out paperwork alot at work and found this stamp quite the time saver and it is real professional looking to any papers you need to send out. Even better, it is fun to use on all my letterheads which also looks good and saves time It was so easy to get started by just sliding in the inkpad then adjusting the date by turning the wheels on the bottom. Yep, just that easy Well worth the purchase

This is the real deal! We used these stampers years ago when I worked at the courthouse and I'm happy to have one for my office now. It's really easy to change the date and to use. I'll be adding a custom plate and ink pad - I really appreciate the how to instructional videos and photos I was able to access by scanning the qr code on the outside of the box. AND shout out to trodat for maintaining carbon neutrality!

I've never used a date stamper before (at least not the setting it up part). This was incredibly easy to set up though. You just move the cogs in between the months/dates/years. The black ink pad you just slide into the handle (you need to push down halfways on the handle to move the date stamping pads out of the way. If you won't be using it for awhile, just slide the ink pad back out and put the lid on it to keep the ink pad wet. The only possible improvement I could think of would be for a way to put a lid back on the ink pad with it still installed. But that's not that big of a deal.
