[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product! Works well for normal size yards with above average leaf amounts. Great with light snow too
chute to the collection bag is a bit awkward and slipped off shoulder a couple times. I would like to see a metal impeller to shred the leaves
I’ll qualify my review. I spent 40 plus years in the tree business hands on tool over 30 years I know yard tools. This is a blower/vacuum. The blower works excellent although I’ve only run 1 tank so far. The vacuum is not close to what a was hoping for. I had a blower vacuum 20 years ago I purchased at Home Depot worked outstanding could never find one again, I found this one by chance and it is cumbersome hard to setup and it doesn’t work very well. I was going to return it but the blower does work well. 100% would not recommend or buy again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased last year and the recoil starter rope never went back in while trying to start the motor. Once the motor was started the recoil rope would wind back into the recoil mechanism. Started the blower today and the recoil rope no longer goes all the way back in after the motor is running. The rope only goes back in about 20 percent. Now I can barely get the blower started with such little rope winding up in the mechanism. The blower does do a good job when I have used it as a blower. I have not used the vacuum function yet.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This appears to be a common problem with this model, I don't know if all Troy-Built leaf blowers use this same design and materials. I have used this unit probably 20 times since buying it new and the impeller appears to have come loose and is now out of balance, I have owned other brands of leaf blowers for much longer and used them for longer times without these type of problems. I should not have to be buying replacement parts for this already. This is an apparent design flaw that your company is aware of!
I bought this blower last year and now it has the dreaded bad impeller feature and is useless. The impeller is off center because it got hot and melted, which isn't surprising since it's plastic. Why isn't there a metal/brass etc. bushing used in the center? You can see in the pic how off center the impeller is. The blower, other than some dust, still looks new. I wish I would have seen these reviews before wasting my money!
That cover for the vac fell apart 4 times in first 10-minute trial use. I hit return and Walmart said they sent that message to CPO Outlets and they would get back to me within 48 hours. That time has passed. I’m getting annoyed about a brand new item falling apart on first use and broken promises.
I didn’t even opened the box, I decided to changed it for the backpack one. When I contact Walmart, they told me to contact the seller and seller told me that if I want to return I need to pay for the return label my self. I feel like they should say that next to the item so people can be aware in case they’re not happy with the purchase. The returned label cost more than what I pay for the blower 👎🏼 I had to keep it
Bought this TB272V to replace a dead 12 year old Ryobi blower. After tweaking (richer) the carb mix screws it starts and runs fine now. I am using TruFuel 40:1 mix. Biggest problems; I have a STIHL gutter blow out kit that worked and fit perfectly with the Ryobi exhaust tube but now is useless with the TB272v blower as it's not compatible. MTD as far as I know does not make a gutter blow out kit to fit their blowers. The TB272 has the cheapest exhaust tube as it is very thin the twist connection very flimsy. Will sell this new blower come springtime and take the $$$ loss.
I bought this blower/Vac within the last week, used it twice. When you try to use the primer fuel sprays out and it will not prime, hence I now have a blower that I need to buy a plunger kit to repair a blower that I used for about two hours....STAY AWAY FROM THIS MODEL.
