(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Very pleased with little tiller. I use it for cultivating between rows. It does a great job while being nimble. I wish it had a neutral to move it around when not running. The wheel pins are a bit of an inconvenience.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Troy Bilt Pony I inherited for 30+ years. It was bought by my stepfather in 1982 and I finally retired it last year. I've used the new Bronco a few times an I'm very satisfied with it's performance. It starts first pull every time and has plenty of power, I'm looking forward to many good years with it.
Haven't used it yet. However I do have a Horse which is getting a bit difficult to use at mt age 80+. This has as the features I was looking for.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hot my Bronco tiller as a gift about 10 years ago. I live in Los Angeles and own a house that sits on functional hilled 1/2 acre. Aside from my garden that consists of 5 raised beds, the rest of the fenced yard is dirt. Every year after the rains, here come the weeds. Once the soil is dry enough I break out my Bronco tiller and hit the weeds before the have a chance of establishing deep roots. The tiller is able to dig deep enough to uproot the germinated weeds which helps me maintain a relatively weed free lot. The only downside of my hilled yard is that the tiller can only effectively till on the downslope. This means that I have to walk the tiller up hill without being able to till. This problem has nothing to do with the tiller, but the sloped hill. As a result it takes longer to till the yard. However, I recently purchased a 1975-76 Troy-Bilt Horse tiller that is built like a tank and can till just as effectively up hill as down hill, which cuts my tilling time by 2/3. However, I am not going to sell my Bronco, because I can use it for smaller jobs that the larger Horse would have issues maneuvering around. Overall, Troy-Bilt makes solid reliable tillers. Love my toys.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For it's size i was surprised at how well it worked
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very powerful. Easy to operate. Went through the grond like butter. One con is the handle bar. Handle bar cold be made a lttle stronger.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the tiler. The handle is way to weak. Needs to be alot stronger all the way down to wear it attached to.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a horse back in the 80's and it was killer , it chewed threw any ground now for this bronco I have tilled new ground twice so far and it does not breakup ground that well. The crt tines I don't feel they do a good job unlike the bolo tines, I have to help it tilling having to constantly lift up and push and not breaking up ground that well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] does not break new ground, does not go up any incline, i've tilled the ground 4 times and it still is not broke up to a fine soil and clumps of grass are regrowing already
I bought this 4 months ago and maybe used it 4 times. The only thing it might be useful for is to run between the rows of already planted plants to chop up small weeds. Do not expect it to prepare your garden! It doesn't have enough power to break up the ground of my current garden. I might as well be using my Mantis cultivator. And to think I traded in my old Troybilt because it was getting to be more than I could handle. What a mistake!
