Troy-Bilt Storm Tracker 2890 272cc 2-Stage 28" Snow Blower, 31AH7FP4B66

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After reading several snowblower comparison reviews on line I chose the Troy-Bilt with the track wheels. One review compared its performance to the Honda which costs much more and stated the Troy-Bilt was a better value. This replaced a 25 year old snowblower which I could no longer get parts for after it quit working. I chose the track wheels to handle our steep driveway and it does it perfectly. This snowblower is quiet, fuel efficient and starts easy. I am pleasantly impressed how powerful the engine is and how far it throws the snow. It easily handled 2 ft of heavy wet snow here in Mt Shasta, CA. The hand warming handles are an added benefit. Although it has an electric start I've yet to use it. It starts on the first pull of manual start. I'm very happy with the overall design and performance of this American made snowblower and highly recommend it. Take it from this 81 yr old guy you won't be disappointed!

My neighbor bought one of these and I went over to look at it. So impressed, I purchased one myself. Works great. I love the track system, it gets much better traction then wheels. Powerful and easy to use. My wife can use it too, as it is self propelled. The Briggs and Stratton engine is a plus as well.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Have used it twice now and it works great. Not much new snow, but we had a ton of snow over the past few days and the snowplow driver's were clearly part-timers. Left huge windrows. Then we had a melt-freeze cycle. My last snowblower would have clogged in a heart beat, but I thought I would give it a try with the new one. Hucked the snow really far and didn't clog at all. The snow was a mix of slush, ice, and snow about a foot deep. Very impressed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great machine for home use. I used it to clear five of my neighbors properties, plus my own during a storm. It worked flawlessly. It never got bogged down and could handle a mix of heavy and light snow. The reverse feature is nice for tight spaces, and the hand warmers keep your hands warm. No need for gloves.

2890 tracked snow thrower works great on our steep driveway. Shipping was bad. Took too long and was unloaded in the street for me to try to get a 280 pound box up a steep driveway.

Pros , Great Traction works well on gravel and pitched driveways Cons , Heavy tough to turn . reverse is very very slow , my biggest complaint . Over all Happy with the purchase

Bought this last year, used it a few times, then again this year for a couple times, then as I was finishing up I noticed only 1 side was driving, now I have not used it that much and I find out the drive for the 1 side needs repair, the plastic drive cog with a steel bushing had cracked,,, anyone knows you don't put a steel bushing with plastic,,, it will fail every time,,if I had noticed this lack of engineering mistake I would not have purchased this snow blower,,, very poor design,,, now iam left with an item that I had paid a lot for and cannot rely on during our long and brutal winters in northern ontario!!!This is track drive item 2890,,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i need a replacement 2890 storm tracker track model 31AH7FP4B66 this one has a manufacture defect and needs to be replaced and i can not get any help from calling and e-mailing they hang up on me and will not let me talk to warranty department and they tell me i can not contact warranty department and hang up on me i am trying to just get a replacement pluss this is a 2017 model and i just bought it 8/15/2025 .

Stay away, they use cheap Chinese Powermore motors with nothing but issues after 2 year warranty runs out, which should tell you to stay away. Worst power equipment I've owned in over 30 years of having multiple platforms and maintaining my own equipment. My experience level is high, I'm a 20 year electrician with previous automotive schooling through HFCC and state certifications through Michigan. Just look up people's reviews and experiences with these units that have owned them longer than the 2 year warranty.
