So far so good on this Troy-Bilt mower. I've bought 3 different brand mowers in the recent past and they have all went kaput… oil blowouts, smoking, etc. This one I've used 3 times, cutting fairly tall grass and odd tree-like brush and it is working really well. Now that I've tamed my land, about 1.5 acres, I can maintain it with this mower and not have to cut such tall grass
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we are very pleased with our new mower. It cuts great, arrived fast and in perfect condition. was easy to put assemble, and a very reasonable price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fast service, easy to put together, quality product!
its a troy built runs great easy to put togather
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The oil fill location is difficult to utilize because of its location and there is no oil drain plug in the bottom of the motor.
Assembly instructions were poor and hard to read. Side shoot will not stay on. Engine manual for Honda instead of Briggs
I have had this lawn mower for a month and love everything about it except the oil compartment. It is very awkward to reach the dipstick to check the oil and there is no way to get a funnel or an oil bottle to the opening to add oil.
Shipping problem. Vendor generated a UPS shipping label, charged my account, but never gave the product to UPS. So, I had to find all this out and get it resolved. Is this a scam? Apparently the vendor and Wal-Mart didn't seem to care if I got the lawn mower. Instructions for assembly and operations are poor. Diagrams are too small and unclear. The written instruction don't help that much either. Instructions seem to be written for multiple models which makes it more confusing. Why am I looking at instructions for two different height adjustment configurations? As for design, the oil dip stick is difficult to get at with normal size hands and the size of the dip stick is so small, I thought I was dealing with a toy. The axle where the wheel meets was bent slightly. I didn't realize it until I wheeled it out of garage assembled, gassed and full of oil. So I now have a brand new lawn mower with a wobbly wheel. This is not a product I would recommend to buy.
I bought this mower 1.5 years ago and it no longer runs. It has a plastic carborator that clogs constantly. I've cleaned the jets and it runs for half my (very small) city yard and dies. My previous mower lasted 15 years & this one didn't even last 2 full seasons. There are tons of videos of this same issue on you tube.
Not the proper paperwork. Could not get started. Called support no call back Returning Item
