I am pleasantly surprised at the almost REAL grass color. The pile stay up right, I use a regular rake to tease up the grass. I did not use sand and excessive nails only regular U spikes space 12 inches apart around the edges and one row in the center. nothing excessive .

I ordered this to place in two high traffic dog areas outside to reduce mud. For us that's where our dogs come in and out killing off the grass and getting mud everywhere. I was expecting fair quality for the price, but it exceeding my expectations in most areas. I thought the color would really stand out as super fake green, but although it is definitely greener than my winter Ohio grass, it's not horrible. It's fairly thick, dectly soft, and was easy to cut with a box knife to split the large rug into two pieces as I had 2 difference doors to address. We had some pretty high winds over 40mph that sent the rugs flying, so they definintely need to be secured down with landscape pins. I didn't think of that upon purchase, so heads up to consider that. I have since ordered some, but haven't installed yet and have heavy rocks holding it down for now. Overall would buy again!

Ahh it's perfect. I pulled up the weeds in my back yard, attempted to grade it and laid the tuff out! The quality is what I was wanting. Just the right amount of plush!

I was very impressed. I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't a heavy, thick, real grass-like rug. It is heavier and denser than I expected it to be. it looks good.
