Very easy to install. The only issue was the instructions showing the rear alignment with the tailgate don't really explain placement well. I had to look at customer pictures to understand where the ends of the side rails were supposed to be to land.
Happy with my choice. Prior to ordering I was concerned about the texture of the fabric, but seeing it in person on the truck i'm pleased. It's been great to use and easy to install. The tie down strings seem tighter than ones i've had in the past and was afraid of breaking them but they've held together well so far. Will see how much of an issue it is this winter.
The profile is low enough to not be extremely noticeable on the bed rails. Really like the Velcro closure; keeps the bed dry in almost all conditions thus far! Please note, the T-Slot rail kit is not compatible with this cover. Return was of T-Slot rail kit was straight forward and the folks at Realtruck were great! Had it installed professionally at a local shop; service there was amazing too!
Fits good, looks good, seams to be the same quality as their older version which lasted me 10 + years…. . only thing I see, is the rubber tailgate “seal” , is exactly as wide as the tailgate, where as the older model was almost an inch longer on each side , permitting less water from running down the sides of the tailgate when it's in the closed position.
Tonneau cover installed with minimal effort and required some adjusting from front to back to get it just right. Total install time about 30min. No issues with noise or look and so far, is performing as designed and advertised on my 2021 Ram 2500. The instructions state the bolts are to be secured to 7lbs torque. This was a challenge as my torque wrench didn't go that low. It took some time to find one and purchase one that went to 7lbs. Additionally, the tonneau cover arrived two days later than stated. For some reason the shipping/tracking showed it an hour from my home, then it was sent over 3hrs away to another facility before being delivered late. When it didn't arrive as stated, I called RealTruck only to be told they wouldn't do anything until more time had passed and there were no errors showing in the system.
My cap was about 15 years old. Clear coat peeling, looking bad. Great for camping still. Hard to put bigger things in it, And needed 2 people to lift it off. On the other hand I can stand up just about anything once I roll up the cover. The install was easy and rolling it up is even easier. The only comment I have is; that I have to take it off to run the truck thru the car was. It is the nature of the beast.
This is my 3rd realtruck truxedo lo pro cover. NOT because the other 2 needed replacement but because this is my 3rd truck to put it on. Quality is second to none. Looks great and is easy to install. Yeah you pay a little more but in the long run it pays for itself. I always have the belief you get what you pay for
My last LoPro had a lip on the side of the cover's rails that sat on top of the trucks bed rails. This kept you from installing the rail too low or uneven. These new rails do not have that lip which makes it much more difficult to mount the rails "perfectly". Still like the cover but was disappointed on the install time and challenge due to that small change that was made that probably saved a couple dollars of aluminum. I don't think it looks as nicely finished as my old one.
It does what it is designed to do, keep water and foreign materials out of the bed. The issue is have is that the the cover is severely affected by the wind coming of the cab. It vibrates excessively and the bows do nothing to dampen this. In fact, the weight of the bows enhances the vibration. I do like the locking mechanism, tho it would be nice to have just one release lever instead of two. I rolls up tight and secures well. Even closed, the sides secure well.
The bed cover itself isn't too bad so far. It does feel a little thin so we'll see how it holds up. The problem is with support and installation. It was such a pain to get a missing bracket that didn't come with my kit. And at the end the cover installs crooked.
