Truxedo 1704523 B-light Tonneau Lighting System

The installation process of theses lights into a 2011 Chevy Silverado 3500 required more work than originally thought. The light unit should have come with two (2) places for screw attachment point instead of just one. The adhesive tape is not enough to hold the unit between the summer and winter seasons. However, once the lights are in, they are much brighter than what I was expecting. Its worth the time it took to install them. They look great.

They light up the truck bed very nicely. However, the wiring was too short and one set of the 2 sides were marked incorrectly for the positive wire. Of course, that's the one I tried to hook up first and it took an extra 2 hours to figure out why it wouldn't work. Quite frustrating but in the end they do their job very nicely. Make sure you clean the areas you're going to apply the 3m tape to very well, otherwise they won't stick.

Easy to install, a good amount of light, high quality product. I did use better double stick tape than what was in the kit for temp. install (used it for couple of weeks to see if I needed to move any of the fixtures) Then mounted lights on small wood blocks beveled to keep lights tucked up under the rails but pointed into the bed (mounted the wood blocks with 3M 5200).

I bought these for my boyfriend and he just installed them and is extremely pleased with these lights. They provide great lighting under his tonneau cover.

Both "halves" (left and right side) had "+" wire marked. Installed using same ground point and same "hot" point. One side worked, other did not. Found that "+" tag and ribbed ID wire were factory reversed. Swapped and re-connected - everything works. Lights are quite bright at night. I should have checked priority before wiring. Also tried tape mount but it did not hold to coated metal so used furnished screws. Do recommend. Lower stars only due to wiring problem.

Worked out great. I thought they could of been a little bit brighter for the money I paid, but they do the job. Great customer service when I had issue installing.

The 2014 Silverados have the bed lighting as an option. It cost around $160 for only two LED lights. This item has eight LED lights . Looks great at night. I had to make my own modification to the blank plug to utilize the oem switch . Works great.

As mentioned above lights are pretty weak and in my opinion are more set for mood lighting than using for trying to light up the bed of a truck. Other than that they installed easy and look to be of good quality. Time will tell.

Lights are nice but it did not come with everything needed to hook it up.Also a little difficult to install. Needed to return one because one light did not work, The second one worked fine. Brightens up the back nice

I bought this thinking it was all I needed. So the price dictated. $40 in extra parts later that was not provided these lights look great! SAVE your money, buy the lights and set it up with local parts. This kit does not have enough wire to run to the battery. The switch does not last but a few times if any water at all even condensation gets on it. You will be trying to figure something else out.
