It was easy to install, I put a few things in that I tend to keep handy, but since then I have not needed to actually access anything from it. It quietly does it's job, holding what I put into it. Probably not secure enough or waterproof enough for an open truck, but under my fiberglass lid that is not an issue. At this point, there really is nothing else to say.
This collapsable bag is fairly light duty, but fits my needs. Easy to un-attach if needed. If you are installing a tonneau cover, the tonneau cover clamps may interfere with the installation of the hanging bar (you need to find space in between two of the tonneau cover clamps, I had to move one of my clamps to fit this).
Nice bag for storing light weight items such as gloves and a flash light, but doesn't work for heavier items such as thick gauge jumper cables, since the support bar is made of aluminum and will bend with that kind of load. Overall, I like it and it has freed up room in my club cab. Easy to install, and shipping was quick.
I was relieved to see that this wheel well box actually works with my American trifold tonneau cover. This box will be good for some jumper cables, flashlight, and some hand tools. This is strictly light duty only. I would not use this for heavy duty because it is made of fabric and secured with a velcro strap. I am overall satisfied because of its ease of installation and its more economical price compared to similar wheel well storage box systems, and this accessory can be removed at any time.
This works very well for all the trunk things (jumper cables, flares, tow rope, etc) I would ordinarily keep in my trunk (which is absent in a 4Runner). I installed it by replacing the aluminum bar provided with a longer one. I originally bought two, one for each side, but soon realized the saddle bag only fits the driver's side (duh!). I would love the product more if the manufacturer made one for the passenger side also. This would really improve my storage. Also, props to RealTruck for making the return painless!
The cover doesn't seal. Lots of dust.
A great idea that came this close to being just what I needed. Unfortunately, somebody decided to build it for marketing instead of the real world. Started off OK wished it was a little bigger but it carried what I needed it to carry for about two weeks. Then the seam for the mounting flap failed. Sent an e mail with photos to Real Truck Customer Service (They were awesome.) and they took care on the problem ad got me a replacement. Put the replacement in tonight and the zipper for the bottom pocket broke. Don't waste your money
This is a great idea for a toolbox, but just a little flimsy for much use. The velcro hanging setup won't hold much weight, and the lower compartment zipper on mine failed under warranty. Fast replacement, but a better zipper would have worked as well. Good for jumper cables and tie downs, but don't plan on carrying many tools in it.
Despite reading some negative reviews, I pulled the trigger as I wanted a simple storage solution that wasn't bulky or didn't require bolting anything into the bed. As the title states - It's a great concept - Clamp mounting system to the bed rail and provide some lightweight storage to keep some things out of the cab. That's where the positive review ends. It sucks - The aluminum bar that gets clamped to the bedrail is flimsy and attaches loosely to the clamps. The bag itself attaches to the bar with some fabric over the top and attached with weak velcro. I put a hunting harness and a bottle of windex in there and the velcro came loose. There are two compartments (upper and lower) separated by a flimsy sheet of plastic sitting on two straps... The weight of the stuff in the upper compartment was too much for the plastic and bent it out of shape. I wanted to like it, but it just isn't a well-executed product.
Very cheaply made. If you put any weight in it, the Velcro strap just lets loose. I had a small bottle jack and some straps and couldn't get it to stay attached. If you have a bunch of feathers or imaginary friends that you need to put in it, I'm sure it will work great. But it's really not fitting the bill for what I needed them for.
