My cap was about 15 years old. Clear coat peeling, looking bad. Great for camping still. Hard to put bigger things in it, And needed 2 people to lift it off. On the other hand I can stand up just about anything once I roll up the cover. The install was easy and rolling it up is even easier. The only comment I have is; that I have to take it off to run the truck thru the car was. It is the nature of the beast.
Tonneau cover installed with minimal effort and required some adjusting from front to back to get it just right. Total install time about 30min. No issues with noise or look and so far, is performing as designed and advertised on my 2021 Ram 2500. The instructions state the bolts are to be secured to 7lbs torque. This was a challenge as my torque wrench didn't go that low. It took some time to find one and purchase one that went to 7lbs. Additionally, the tonneau cover arrived two days later than stated. For some reason the shipping/tracking showed it an hour from my home, then it was sent over 3hrs away to another facility before being delivered late. When it didn't arrive as stated, I called RealTruck only to be told they wouldn't do anything until more time had passed and there were no errors showing in the system.
Perfect fit for my 2013 Nissan Frontier 5' bed. Installed by myself with no major issues in less than an hour. I appreciate that it is at least assembled in the USA and that it comes with a 5- year warranty and actual customer service. I could have bought a slightly cheaper brand but appreciate that RealTruck customer service. I couldn't be happier with a soft cover roll up Tonneau cover and this is my second cover, I had one on my 2006 Chevy Colorado and was extremely happy with it too.
Installed on a 2022 Chevy Colorado. The bed rails have a slight curve to them on the Colorado so this cover sitting on top of the bed rail works perfectly. Nice tight seal and the cover looks great and doesn't sag. Good quality and easy to roll up when you need th whole bed. Highly recommend!
I am very happy with this cover so far. I wish the instructions had been a little more clear, and possibly a recommendation that two people make the job much simpler, although I was able to finish it by myself It looks good and there have been no problems while driving on the highway or in bad weather. I would definitely recommend.
Installed this cover a couple weeks and have been impressed so far. Looks great on my Ram 2500 short box. Easy installation. Good tight fit and does not flop around in the wind. Drove in the rain for an hour and no leaks. Great cover for a low priced.
I've purchased two of these. One for a Silverado 1500 and one for a 2500. Last week, we suffered hail damage. Our trucks look like dented aluminum cans across the tops and hoods, lots of dents on the sides, a mirror and lights suffered holes and one windshield was busted. There is ZERO damage to either of our (2-3 year old) tonneau covers so I really felt the need to come back and leave a review to prove how rugged these are!
Not sure about the latch release. It is less than favorable! A little effort on the side of quality would go a long way. . . it looks ok. I would suggest a review on overall quality and craftsmanship of cross members and do something to improve the latch release. . . in a optimum position the second point of releasing the latch on either side will cause the cover to become projectile like. . . if tension is lessened to reduce popping up and back. . . then you lose snug fit and compromise water infiltration resistance. . . not to mention the overall look! And increasing the wave or bouncing while in motion! Note: having one point of latch release would be a plus for several reasons. . . and greatly reduce the energy of the current 2 points of release required. First point is fine but then all the tension is on second point of release. . . major pinch point too by the way!
It does what it is designed to do, keep water and foreign materials out of the bed. The issue is have is that the the cover is severely affected by the wind coming of the cab. It vibrates excessively and the bows do nothing to dampen this. In fact, the weight of the bows enhances the vibration. I do like the locking mechanism, tho it would be nice to have just one release lever instead of two. I rolls up tight and secures well. Even closed, the sides secure well.
Worst roll-up cover I have owned. It is not tight enough and there is no way to adjust it. What is even worse is the customer service from RealTruck. After being on hold for an eternity I finally got to speak to someone who was nice but not able to help; he referred me to their "install specialists" by email who would assist. They offered nothing. Asked for the serial number and said that it would wrinkle due to temperature changes. Asked if I would record a video of it to prove that it was puffing up. I guess they don't want to believe me when I tell them that it does. Whether they believe me or not, they offered no assistance whatsoever. My advice is don't buy this product and don't buy from this company.
