you need to remove the base and it will fit. actually you can lay ps5 on side with base supporting it and prevents overheating and the solder does melt and run down inside.
My grandson received a new PS5 for Christmas. But he had nothing to transport it in. I purchased this for him and he's super happy that he can transport his PS5 safely! He loves all the inside pockets fir games and such. And the large outer pocket fit his controller and then some. Great gift for a great price! I would recommend.
