I bought this because it is inexpensive, and had good reviews. My use case may be a little different than most, so perhaps this simply wasn't the product for me, but I'm still not happy with the quality.
To start with, there's no instructions. It's just a bunch of parts in an unmarked brown box. Not a huge deal, but a bit odd.
Secondly, the arm failed to hold my microphone without swiveling downwards. I'll mention that, rather than having this secured on a desk surface, I had it secured to the side wall of it, as my desk's shape doesn't allow this kind of clamp to work on the surface portion. Anyway, the arm was extended partially, horizontally, and kept falling down once the microphone was attached.
In an effort to make it more secure, I used a wrench to torque down the screw holding that joint in place. The plastic tab instead snapped off. Additionally, the screw that remained had its head - the part where you use a screwdriver, in this case, phillips head - filled with plastic. There is no way to remove it.
I didn't even get to use this thing before something broke. 1 star.
