Tucker: The Man and His Dream (Blu-ray)

This is a highly entertaining film about a man who has a strong desire to mass produce a revolutionary modern new car. The movie takes place during WWII. The car has many interesting features like headlights that follow the direction that the vehicle is taking. The car is very sleek and modern looking. Preston Tucker and his business partner, Abe, decide to place an advertisement in a popular magazine to see if there is interest in the Tucker automobile. Tucker receives 150,000 letters by people wanting to know where they can buy a Tucker and how they can start a Tucker dealership. The twist is Preston Tucker and his partner don't have the financing to start production or even have a factory to build the car in. The two have luck in obtaining financing and the worlds largest factory, which was 73 acres long! The factory is empty and was used to build airplanes during the war. Detroit's Big Three auto makers try to prevent Tucker from producing his "car of the future", but despite numerous challenges, their factory manages to make 50 Tucker Torpedoes. The movie features many well-known actors, such as Joan Allen and Jeff Bridges, and is based on a true story. The film is fun to watch and won many awards. Definitely add this fantastic movie to your collection!

This is a great movie and picture qual8ity awesome along with sound.

Excellent bio film. To see how Tucker had to fight the Big 3 auto companies in the late 40s was an eye-opener. Jeff Bridges did this man justice. We'll worth many more viewings!
