So far so good. One video card that price to performance is worth it. Did not what a big 3080 RTX do to the size of my case. Does not over heat and for the money worth every penny. EVGA little over priced and since they are no longer making video cards I went with ASUS . I have had a older ASUS 24 " TN gaming monitor over 9 years hasn't went out yet.
upgraded from an EVGA 1080ti black edition to this. Obviously this card blows my previous one not just from performance standpoint but with the quality as well. It feels more premium, the components used by Asus are top notch (from youtubers reviews where they disect the card and look at the capacitors etc) and i havent had crash yet. I havent tried the raytracing performance yet in games (i dont have an RT game) but im pretty sure its no problem. Right now im replaying RDR2 and its performing great, no crashes like my 1080ti (i play on 1440p tho).
Great card so far only had it up and running for a couple of days now so not a lot of gaming time applied yet but installation and test benching went very smooth, synthetics with a standard OC pushed into the top 25 on FurMark's 4k benchmark. Will update in a month or so to give final thoughts
It is quiet, works extremely well, and seems extremely durable and sturdy. Since I have had it, it has shown no signs of warping or flexing and has performed without issue. I would add that the GPU Tweak III software that is provided by ASUS for the card seems dated and unintuitive, but after some clicking around and internet research it can be worked out.
Coming from a 2080 super to compare to my 3080 it runs every thing i throw at it butter smooth on my 3440x1440 ultrawide on very high or ultra on most titles, this card does amazing keeping temps around 70C under full load. Asus did an amazing job with the 30 series gpu!
Absolute beast. It's a strix model GPU, enough said. Still have my old strix 960, have also had a 1080 and 5700xt strix. All excellent cards. Their 3080 is no different. Cooling is excellent, performance is excellent. I lowered the power target to 95% and it still sits rock solid at 1995mhz under full load, doesn't break 73* with fans at 80%. It's phenomenal
Card is awesome, wish it were the 12 gb but it is what is. Performs nicely, fans loud when underload, and the only con is that coil whine. As others have said in reviews, which I have just leaned and read, say the same thing. That is the only con. I just purchased it on the 25th, so I will see if it does go away after a few more days, if not I will return it to MC within the 15 day return period and buy something else. The card is very nice, but that noise is very very noticeable.
I love using this GPU because it's included as a benchmark 30 series. I can run Call of Duty Warzone at high frames for 1440p resolution, and that is a key capacity that I was searching for when it came to having the GPU that's going to suit my needs.
My 3080 TUF was very sub-par and barely scored 800 points below other 3080s on Time Spy. I know I may be an isolated case but it's still very disappointing.
dlss freaks out. No idea why. Have used ddu multiple times with various driver versions and reinstalled windows but some games (doom eternal, cyberpunk) have completely random performance, and toggling dlss on and off will change it at random with sometimes higher framerates with it off. Power draw is all over the place, with sometimes it going sub 100w at ~50° and sub 15 fps. I also never hear the fans ramp up. I almost think the card is defective but when I registered the card on the asus website i5 said my warranty is expired only after a few months. I never experienced these issues with my strix rtx 2070.
