And then when it was supposed to do it changed on my white shirts and into beautiful colors

I purchased 2 separate sets online and one set at the store for my daughters 7th birthday party yesterday. The first set I ordered was the camouflage colors, the second was the psychedelic colors (red, yellow and blue) which also are our local sports teams. Red and blue for the bills, and blue and gold for the sabres. I bought 3 sets of kits with 3 dyes each in and 3 separate colors. We made 24 kids shirts and 4 adult shirts and still have about 35% of the one bottle of black dye left. Colors turned out great. We saved most of our bottles in hopes of finding the refill powder at a reasonable price to redo in the spring. I would suggest not buying small sets like this. Next time I would buy the super big kit for $20 with 12 colors and then maybe the camo colors as well and it would work out cheaper that way.

this item is very cool and easy to use

Bought this kit to tie dye 2 shirts for Halloween. The shirts did not absorb the dye when trying to apply using the twisted technique. Had to use our hands to kind of push and rub the dye in. The dye was like water and just kept going everywhere except the shirts. Make sure you do this outside [even in the garage we made a mess]. Also, the gloves weren't very good and we now have some dyed fingers that we can't get the colour out of. Once we thought we were good, I took the shirts out of the wrap the next day and none of the colour had penetrated through... the centers of the shirts were still entirely white. Waste of $30.00 [the kit plus two $5.00 shirts from Walmart as well]. As you can see from the picture, the main parts of the shirts did not get dyed as the colour just simply wouldn't penetrate into the shirts [they both are slightly pink now from getting put in the wash on a rinse cycle to remove excess dye].
