I have used other name brand dyes for years, but find Tulip brand to be the best. The most prominent difference is that Tulip dyes remain. They don't bleed out in the wash like some others do. And, I find their description of color to be spot on. It is definitely my brand of choice.
Really impressed, I had an old cotton black dress that I love and las looking so old… this dye works great and left my dress like new!! (Forgot to take before and after pictures) It is super easy to apply you only need hot water and salt to activate the product. Works great in different fabrics, best par 1 pocket makes 1 gallon of dye so you can dye several things. I like that it's non toxic.
I bought this dye after reading so many reviews on how well it worked out for others, and I must say they weren’t lying. This color came out AMAZING and so BRIGHT…just like I like!! I bought a pair or Hey Dude shoes but my signature shoe color was not an option but I wanted a pair so bad. So I bought a pair in white, used this dye on them and now they are more pink than I could imagine!! I love them!! It was so easy to use( I did the stovetop method) and I will 1000% be using this brand of dye for future projects!!
I used it in polyester which is a harder fabric to dye. But yr turned out pretty. I'm sure the color would be more vibrant on a different fabric. I also reheated the dye and used It twice and it colored the fabric the same.
I bought this to cover up baby stains on a white cotton onesie. This worked great! The dye is dry so there are different little pigment balls in the mix which looked great when I sprinkled the dry dye on a wet onesie. I used a red dye as well on the onesies.
This was an easy dye in a bucket, deep color. But make sure all the fabric is under the water(no air bubbles) or the dye will not cover evenly. I will use this product again. See circled area in photo.
First time to use Tulip dye. Usually use Rit. Beautiful color, easy to use %26 good price. Odor not near as bad as Rit due. Changed a black dress to a gorgeous turquoise color!
I have never used a fabric die before so this was quite an experience! My main tips are to read the directions carefully. I even watched a few tutorial videos first. Also use gloves and a stirring stick if you can find one. I had a large one from the paint section of Lowe's. The color is really good the longer you keep it in the darker it is. I thought this was really fun to use and I'm going to look into getting other colors to try next.
I got this purple for dying my mother's dress. And it worked really well on the already purple dress to make it a darker purple. but when I use this particular purple on white it looks really gray and I don't like it. It's a good color and it holds fast on fabric. it is just not the purple i wanted
I dyed a light pink dress as you can see in the pic. It came out a sort of blackish green. Maybe I needed more than one packet. But anyways it was easy to do. I used a bucket with hot water and soaked for an hour. Make sure you stir to get an even dye. ( I was a little lazy and didn't stir enough). Then rinse and toss in the washer. I still like the color it's just not a true black.
