This shapewear has helped me a lot with my very painful lower back that makes it agony to sta d up and do anything. I realized the pain was coming from my stomach pulling down on the muscles attached to my spine in the lower back. As soon as I put this shape wear on, the stomach was supported and the pain dissipated. I weigh 199, 5'.5", 78 yr., ordered a 3x and it was fine. The velcro works best if you attach the two ends before trying to put on the garment. Once adjusted correctly, it is easy to pull it on already fastened and adjust the waistband for comfort.

Because after you put the panty on someone has to hook the Velcro strap. Panty is very comfortable but the strap hooks with Velcro in the back. My arms cannot reach the center of my lower back to hook it. I just wonder who designed it. I am sure it would give great abdominal support. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

It is a little difficult to get on, but once you catch on, it's okay. It is comfortable and does its job very well. I would buy it again.

This is not what I expected. The support panel is not attached to the brief all the way around, only at the center seam in the v-shape. The rest of the elastic support is loose and you have to wrap it around to close at the back with velcro and hope it holds together when moving around or bending over.

Totally not what I expected. I did not expect to have to tighten the band around my abdomen. I thought it was a fixed band, especially from the way it was portrayed in the book. I will not order this product again, nor recommend it.
