Turtle Beach VelocityOne Rudder, Universal Rudder Pedals for Windows PCs, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One

It's a very good product. My only issue is I wish they made it where you could actually use the rudders for brakes because I got it because I've been doing flight simulator for years and I always use controls. I never had a rudder until now and it's a good product just I wish the break setting was with those pedals.

Bought the yoke/throttle last year and was impressed but the peddles are even better. Pricey, but when you see how well made and flexible they are, you can understand. Seriously heavy bit of kit, made to last not slightly flimsy plastic as I was expecting. Arrived within 48 hours and they're just plug and play which is even better.

The V1F Rudder Pedals are very well made and sturdy. The set up was easy and they work very well, much better than the triggers and bumpers on the yoke. I like the way the toe brakes work - I have them set up for GA, but I found there was more movement than I needed so I just changed the extremity dead zone under Sensitivity. I seem to have to go to Accessories and turn the Rudders on each time I use them, but that only takes a few seconds.

Well, I bought this for two reasons… (1) being to make the experience of on ground taxiing and flight to be more immersive …√ and (2) using my set up in WarThunder and needing the trigger buttons as triggers…√ yay !! So far they have proved to be excellent, a straight out of the box set up, only changing the pedal type has showed them to be not overly sensitive and the pre fitted rudder tension springs suit me perfectly. Simple to set up as long as you do take a moment to read the instructions. I would recommend anyone considering a purchase to take a look on YouTube. Soooo this was originally meant to be a review for the Velocity One Rudder, but it all began because of a purchase of the Flightstick for use with MSFS on xbox s/x. This turned out to be an excellent choice and a definite upgrade from my Thrustmaster T-F- Hotas, ( please develop one for PS5), but it turned out….more buttons were still not enough for fixed wing flights so, the flightstick was demoted to helicopters and space flight sims and next came the Velocity One Flight-yoke and quadrant set and oh yes of course, the rudder set and now I need something to mount it all on….the Velocity One Stand.. What can I say people……it all just works well together, the only other purchase was a small stand for the flight stick (rudder pedals for that next please TB).

The V1 Rudders are very good indeed. Very occasionally the toe brakes stop working but it is easy to restore their operation. They are very rugged and don't move on the carpet at all. They give excellent control of planes both taxiing and in the air.

The information on the Turtle Beach web site was well and logically presented and the ordering process was straightforward. The pedals were delivered the next day and by a reliable courier. The box, as indicated, was large and quite heavy. Unpacking was no problem at all with the packaging being minimalistic but offering effective protection. Importantly, it was sustainable and recyclable with no plastic. The pedals themselves are big and they are much heavier that the Thrustmaster TFRP that they were replacing. This is great as the stay in place on a hard floor but would work equally well on carpet with the alternative, self adhesive, fixings. For me, a GA 'flyer' I changed the pedals into the GA config and that was simplicity itself but I'm still struggling a bit with braking. I also changed the tension springs for the weaker ones included in the kit, again simple to do, although there was a moment of confusion when the springs being removed did not instantly release and I was reluctant to pull too hard. It's fine, the springs locate on the rubber buffer stop and released with a bit of a jerk. The installation of the pedals was no problem at all. Updating the firmware was completed in seconds and then the pedals were good to go. The pedals were instantly visible in the controls options although, so far I have not adjusted anything, sensitivities are still straight line. In use - well, I thought that I'd died and gone to simulator heaven. For the first time ever I was able to easily hold the centre line of the taxiway (although not so simple in a stiff breeze) and to manage a crosswind take off without zig-zagging down the runway. I luv 'em.

Ultra accurate and easy set up. The carpet stays included are solid and hold the rudders in place. If I had any complaint it would be the weight. They are quite heavy to haul around which with my none permanent flight set up can start to give my back some issues.

These rudder pedals are a great addition to my Velocity One yoke. The only drawback was getting the rudder pedals recognised by my Xbox X series. Once I had achieved that, I had rudders but no brakes. I had to manually assign left brake and right brakes and that wasn't straightforward despite having all the latest firmware. I expected MSFS 2020 to recognise the brake action without having to assign it. I spent a very frustrating morning getting them to work but all good now.

Sadly I purchased a Flight control and rudder pedals. Had to return Flight control as a toggle was broken on arrival. Prior to dispatch i tried to get me rudder pedals working with my Xbox X only to find out that the toe brakes would not work. On checking further online, i find out that this is a big problem and requires a software update.
