TV Westerns 57 Episodes Collection

If you remember the days of when Westerns ruled the airwaves and were a child of the Golden Era then this video is a terrific walk down memory lane. If you missed those days the first time then its a welcome respite to those Retro shows and the glory days of cowboys, the promise of the frontier, the days of black & white, good & bad, problems solved in a single episode with no bad language, only staged violence (without the graphic gore of todays shows), old fashioned values and series the whole family could sit down and enjoy. This was a gift received by our 8 yr. old who enjoys Sunday a.m. reruns on cable of Gunsmoke and Bonanza. He had gotten a Rifleman DVD last year--from a "bargain bin" and had loved it. Was heartbroken when it was accidentally broken by one of his brothers. This not only had those same 3 episodes but so many more of the old classics---its our new family past time to watch an episode or 2 together. Not many things we can watch today that can be appropriate for ages kids spanning 3-16 years and their 40+ parents keeping everyones interest and not being another animated show. Highly recommend this multi-disc dvd set. The episodes seem to span a good variety of the classic westerns---only wish they had a few more of the Riflemen episodes included. But this is a great collection. And You can't beat the Price!! What a value---too bad more people don't look back to the retro classics instead of just accepting the current glut of tv junk now available.

My Father has alzheimer's, so he only remembers things from his past. We used to watch rifleman, and the other series on this dvd. They are short, and he remembers this time of his life (the past). It was a wonderful gift for him. A Christmas gift, he will remember for awhile.

Saturday mornings,my bowl of wheaties , and Roy Rogers and Dale Evans.It dosn't get any better than that. That was me last weekend.I love this collection of westerns.Of course my kids don't like them. They say there is not enough action.

Bought two different ones. On the first one disc one and two would not even work at all. The second one I bought disc one and two they kept breaking up and sticking. I would not recommend on buying this.
