I was apprehensive about buying this chest after reading the reviews about how long it takes to put together. My husband put it together in a little over an hour. We bought the chest to use as a night stand. We loved it so much we purchased another one. My 13 year old daughter put the 2nd one together. Love the look and love the quality.
This was exactly what I needed in my new apartment as some extra storage for clothing. The Tvilum 4 drawer chest is great as a dresser and the truffle color is perfect. Assembly was quick and easy and not to heavy for me to carry upstairs. It feels very sturdy and high quality, especially for the great low price, and I think it will last a long time. Very happy with this product.
This dresser is very nice! The color is just as shown in the photos. Not too hard to put together but you do need your own tools so make sure you have a screwdriver and hammer. Some of these build your own things include some type of tool to put it together but not this one. This dresser is a very sturdy dresser so you definitely need a screwdriver and hammer. Not too many parts to put together but did take me a few hours to do it on my own. The color Is beautiful and I have a feeling it will stand up well over time. So far I have all the drawers filled with clothes and also have a small TV resting on the top and it’s very sturdy.
I bought three of these dressers because I am finishing a half-story remodel and I wanted something pre-fabricated that I could insert into my attic knee-walls to mimic the look to built-ins. These are the perfect size (to the 1/8""!) and are super cute. They came very quickly (3 days), in perfect shape, and only took maybe 40 minutes each to put together once you get the hang of the process. The drawers pull out smoothly and while they aren't soft close, the drawers aren't heavy enough where you would ever get them to slam. The veneer is nice quality and looks very clean and the particle board makeup of the pieces will ensure this item is durable. I was so excited when I got them that I assembled them right away and we are using them free standing until our attic is finished - I would totally buy these again with confidence. First time using hayneedle.com and I've already made two more purchases - all around an excellent experience.
Very nice but not nearly as big as I expected. I thought it said chest of drawers like a dresser but it is closer to a nightstand size. Would be great for an office maybe.
overall this is a nice dresser. It is a good neutral color. The drawers and sides are press wood (picture attached) with the bottom of the drawers as particle board. Definitely works nicely for children's clothes with the smaller size.
Horrible instructions packaging was horrible. Don't recommend.
I bought two of these to go in my boys' bedroom. I have put together a LOT of furniture in my day, but this one was a doozy. NONE of the pieces were labeled, and the directions included only pictures but NO WORDS. It was like a super complicated puzzle assembled with power tools. After about two hours, I finally managed to get it finished. unfortunately that is when I discovered I had built it upside-down! Not only did I need to remove the legs from the top of the dresser (leaving holes in the top), but I also had to disassemble all the drawers in order to flip them over. IT WAS NOT FUN. I put off building the second one for several weeks because I didn't think I could handle the emotional let down. When I finally opened the second box, I discovered this dresser actually had the pieces labeled. What a pleasant surprise! Unfortunately the instructions were still garbage, but I did manage to build this dresser right side up on the first try. Overall this dresser is a cute and sturdy headache.
I'm disappointed, one of the main pictures shows the height of 29.8in, but it is 26.8in in the reality !!!! if it had not been collected for 2 hours, I would have returned it! (((
I ordered two of these drawers. One came in fine, but had to put holes in the boards that were required. They were not predrilled. The other drawer came in damaged. I tried to order another one twice and customer service said it was ordered but it was not. Still waiting for the second drawer weeks later.
